I don't know if this is just editing, but big props to the GM here for blazing through the intro. TH-cam let's plays have a habit of dragging that bit out.
It’s especially bad in “How To” videos. You come for a quick help tip for whatever game you’re currently finding yourself stuck in … and the videos are all minimum 10 minutes long with 95 % rambling and no time tags for help 😅
Gaaaaah! That voice for Pilfers. Like spiders creeping up one's spine. Btw, I didn't watch this in premier and I watched on my phone. Did anyone else have 10 or something adverts through this vid?
Planning and engagement. There's no need to sweat the little details. Pick the plan, which was stealth then basic detail basement entry. This then sets the level of risk as the focus moves to the score itself. Then the players take actions to resolve the score. Stress is not possible at the point if engagement. The players use stress for action rolls. The roll of 6 gives this particular score a controlled level of risk.
I picked up the blades in the dark book around Christmas because of Johnnys recommendation. Really excited to see the game getting more attention on TH-cam.
Lol thats how i felt! Luckily the person i went to was the guy who made the game :D rollplay blades has gotten me to start my own campaign, but dicebreaker steals Christmas is the only reason i knew about blades at all.
i played Blades last month at a convention and loved it. there were 6 players and we carried out a heist to get into a well guarded tower using a hot air balloon to infiltrate our way in at night and used hand-glider backpacks aka bat-packs to get away. My villain 'Wild Bill' aka Billy the Goat was a criminal mastermind archetype. The fashback mechanic is awesome and im going to steal it for another game i play.
Pilfers The Clown is a wonderful character build, I love the fact that his inspiration for becoming a criminal is kinda seeking the same thrill he found in the circus!
Thank you for exposing me to this game in some of your older videos. I've been the GM of a group for about two months now and we've all fallen in love with it
Im gonna take this as a very good sign for my starfinder game today. i was gonna introduce the clock system as a bit of homebrew to facilitate the players taking a bit of agency.
It's wierd to say one is better than the other. It's like saying dnd is a better Skyrim, then Skyrim. Ironic to your statement Blades in the Dark sites Dishonered as one of its' touchstones to help you ease into the theme.
Love lazers and feelings and cyberpunk with this group. Would love to see them play paranoia as a campaign or a one shot(any version paranoia)... everybody is john would be funny too. Judging by how everyone is brilliant in ultimate warewolf. I thibk paranoia would be absolutely amazing. Id not really of watched or played blades in the dark b4 but watching them play it is getting me into giving it a go. X
Ok so pardon my English if i say something wrong way but... Should players be able to make a ghater information action before score? Im GM of BItd for about year and English is my third language so i may Understand something wrong. But i always let my players ghater information before eng roll. So am i wrong? Or you did that on purpose? Big fan of you btw. Best regards from Poland
I had to skip ahead to see if it lasted the entire session (it did) and I find it cruel none of the others told Lolies that's a microphone, not an antenna. 😏
For a Non-Brit, the sound quality was not good enough to be able to follow all your conversations, unfortunately ;) but I do like your well-produced reviews!

"Its about the most heavy metal setting you can get"
*Mörk Borg has entered the chat*
Mork Borg is definitely a Black Metal setting
Magnagothica has entered the chat.
Heck, they even have ost lists for each faction.
Watched this on the premiere. My sleep pattern is now in two parts, pre-Pilfers and post-Pilfers.
The "You can't leave me with the clown" is funnier when you realize Johnny's character is a literal child.
Being a whisper is just looking at every situation and going "hhhmmm... But what if ghosts too?"
I'm starting to think Lolies doesn't have any normal clothes. It's all gym wear and extravagant costumes
Gaaaaah! That voice for Pilfers. Like spiders creeping up one's spine.

I like the initiative Alex showed to get the players to talk in character at 10:03
Scurlock’s mansion is a terrifying prospect as it is, but bloody hell Wheels you turned it up to 11

Jesus, Matt, what horrors have you unleashed upon the world with Pilfers? Also I may need to use them in Blades asa contact, friend or rival now.
Its about time! you've been praising the game long enough i had to go to another guy to get my blades in the dark fix for the longest time
Lol thats how i felt! Luckily the person i went to was the guy who made the game :D rollplay blades has gotten me to start my own campaign, but dicebreaker steals Christmas is the only reason i knew about blades at all.

11:30 Matt is so creepy Johnny removed his headphones 😂 just getting round to watching this and I'm so glad I am
I first thought that was Lolies new haircut, strong choice.
Well now I'm going to have to catch up on the previous Blades in the Dark vids, what a fun time!!

Who thought it would be a good idea to let Matt Jarvis be a horror clown? Nightmare fuel!
Seems to me that BiD is a better Dishonored game than Dishonored.
Dont want to correct you but its BitD

"The weird poison child gets his binding hand out again"
Imagine the creep factor if Pilfers hung out with Greasy Fingers. 😬
My bi-weekly BITD game was supposed to be tonight but got rescheduled, so I’m happy to have found this series to get my fix of it!

Peter Lorre is who Matt reminded me when he did Pilfers voice.
I love Alex Meehan's voice!!
Is this going to be a one off because this could be a awesome campaign like dungeonbreaker
Hey, enjoy it, I played a short campaign of BiD, with my usual DND Group, it can be quite harrowing.
Peter Lorre is the name you're looking for.
My name is Inco.
I live on the second floor.
this is exactly what I was about to comment.
You need to change your settings. I'm getting an advertisement every 5 minutes.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssss!!!! 💪 There is my BitD fix!

Gather of course. Life playing MTG looks like wasted now :p
Went looking for part two and did not see it anywhere.
I want to watch the second part already
Lolies cheek bones are on point
pilfers is the laughing jack creepypasta
except not written by a child molester
Is it me or is Meehans volume crazy loud or really quiet?! I can’t listen to it in headphones. It needs some good levelling
The description mentioned they had some audio problems more or less
Goldenage

Bahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa

I am looking for Cooperative Collaborative Board Games with individual Win. Can you please recommend?
Understand you need the income from revenue but the sheer amount of adverts were intrusive, sad to say.
Yo
