    Johnny, you recommended The Lies of Locke Lamora to us when you first told us why we should play this game. Of course every single one of us got the Thiefmaker reference.

    *Tune of Jingle Bells*
    Elf is getting stabbed,
    Jack just talks to ghosts,

    So let me get this straight: apart from wrestling (on a professional level), Santa also moonlights as some sort of murderous bodyguard? Whelp, I'm ever so grateful that the price for ending up on the naughty list remains a piece of coal and hasn't been elevated to "being clobbered to death with fossil fuels".

    If it helps Johnny come to terms with the canon, some of the "Santa" myths were originally attributed to Odin, so Elf potentially summoned an Old Norse God.

      @Gary -- i've been trying to get my group into this, but i got a pair of poo-poo heads trying to tank the game every time i start one. Their unfortunately 3.0-3.5 edition D&D fanatics that either don't get the concept or don't care. They argued for 5 minutes 'bout gaining heat from their score, saying that "No BoDY SaW ThEm dO It, So HoW DiD AnYONE KnOW?'"...It's a bit fustrating let's be honest.

    • @russano22
      @russano22 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@johnnysizemore5797 There's a massively collaborative element to these RPG games. You really have to be willing to just enjoy watching a story unfold and roll with things (lol) as they happen.

    • @johnnysizemore5797
      @johnnysizemore5797 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Gary -- i know that and 2 of my players know that, but the two fanatical Muttonheads apparently don't. What makes it worse if that they've convinsed(?) the Casual player to go along with 'em. Between games they brag all the time 'bout the "Awesome" games they've ran and i can tell you, after trying to play a games with each of 'em as DM, i can safely say that neither of them could tell a good story if held at gun-point(one of 'em even went so far as to verbatim steal the Dark Souls story & rammed us through it with a Freight-train).
      My "bright hope" in this debacle is my RPer and(weirdly enough) my Power Gamer both love the system and are intrigued 'bout how the Blades universe got to the point of where they are in-game(they want to set their gang up in Whitecrown as a version of Wolfram & Hart law offices), so i might be abke to salvage the purposeful sabotage....
