The EASY way to get BLUE ROSES

- Let's face it, trying to get blue roses in Animal Crossing New Horizons is hard. Not only do you have to contend with the complexities of the genetics behind rose breeding in ACNH, you also have to work around the fact that roses have the highest number of children you can get in all of the flower species in the game. But it doesn't have to be hard to get blue roses. In this video, I'm going to show you my favourite method to get blue roses in Animal Crossing which has always given me a blue rose at the end of it.

My hybrid red for the blue roses won’t clone :( Does anyone know why this is? I’ve time traveled almost 3 months at this point just for it not to grow 😪
This can happen. There is a fail rate on cloning flowers and it is completely random if you will get one or not. What would be worth doing is double checking that you have no custom codes around the flowers you are trying to clone and that there are free tiles for the flowers to clone into.
It should be fairly straightforward to clone them. If you are still having issues after that, make sure you have Beautiful Island Ordinance turned on if you have 3 stars, and maybe ask some friends to come over and water your cloning flowers. Those will help boost your chances massively. Good luck!

I'll try and explain it again. The problem is that not every purple rose has the right genetics to make a blue rose. I won't explain all the science-y bits behind it as trying to find an answer got me in a kerfuffle as well!
To make sure your purple has the right genetics, you need to breed it with a yellow rose from a seed bag. If you get a yellow rose from the breeding, the purple is good to use for your breeding. If you keep getting white roses from the breed, bin the purple and go back the previous step to get another purple rose to test.
The yellow and white roses you get from the testing stage you don't need in breeding so they can be removed completely. It's just the purple rose you want from that. When you get the right purple, breeding two of them together gives you the special white rose you need for getting both the hybrid orange rose, the special hybrid red roses and blue roses at the end.
The infographic from peach n key that I've linked in the description is really helpful for showing the process as there are coloured stars next to each rose which show which level of hybrid colour you need for each step. If it shows a seed bag next to the rose that means you need a rose from a seed bag, but the coloured stars will show you which rose you need to take into the next steps.
