- Another boat tour.! This one has had some neglect, but that was reflected in the awesome purchase price. More than likely... a great deal, considering what was spent to put this vessel together. We love messing around with boats, sailing, cruising, and most of all fixing them up with the skills we teach at Marine Tech!
Tim is at a crossroads and needs to make a BIG decision this summer - fix up this great boat, or part it out???? There are a lot of factors and things to consider, he is asking everyone for opinions.
Thanks, Tim, for sharing with our TH-cam followers. We'll post an update once a final decision and plan has been formed.

Epoxy is your friend! 😅
She deserves the repairs!
And will reward you for your efforts in ways you can't possibly imagine right now! 😊
Great point! and I know - I've built a handful of small boats and one 21', always a treat! Sam D is a great designer, I'm heading to Alaska this summer and we're going fishing together :)
Sam Devlin designed boats are some of my favorites 😀
We have many Sam D fans at the school!!!
Fix it! Fix it!
What a good deal on a super cool little boat!
We think that is going to happen - lots of potential
Tim, you have to fix this boat! What’s a little dry rot? Okay, wet. Happy news: It’s only on the topsides! That means (to me) that you can even use the boat this summer (maybe), and get going on the repair in the fall. Enjoy the process dude. I think you’ve done very well.
That's the plan!
You lucky bastard ! Good Luck!
Thanks! This will come into the shop this winter and we'll get rid of the soft spots - fun boat! Also, we'll do a complete mechanical/electrical evaluation and service.
Nice boat, great price. A little work and you can have a solid boat again.
We agree!
Maybe it's a PNW look....but I just dont get inspired by Devlin boat lines. They have the look of a steel trawler. But dang that's a lot of value.
Yup - he has a strong following in the PNW. It is a lot of value, still working on details but haven't given up on this one!
Any update?
Hopefully in the line-up for projects this next year, we'll make final decisions in September. Winter quarter would be a perfect time to work on this boat!
Please save her!
I think he will
She is a beauty!
Great Design
Get rid of that hatch on the foredeck.
That is the plan, it caused all the problems!!
Save her if you have the time
We hope he does
