a fan of de palma? his wife, nancy?john? pertect thriller movie, passthe popcorn. ?Bonus, to find out the score is written by a brilliant man,pinto....? I'm sure this movie / actors/ John & Nancy/and the music score Pino Donaggio's " Blow out theme* & De Palma's *can't spell* would be able to shut down the rag magazines? John Travolta is perfection in this movie. As is Miss Allen. Fuck the critics. So, I hope this thriller is given a second chance.... to kick your pysch ass.... lol
I always say that whenever I hear someone talk about this movie."It was a good scream."I was 12 when I first watched this movie and this song still depresses the hell out of me.
Pino Donaggio's music for Blow Out and Carrie can literally reach into your soul and rip your heart out of your chest while it's still beating. Excuse me while I get some tissues. **sobs**
Ain't Nancy Allen just the girl! Listening to this I can dig John T sitting on a cold park bench, heartbroken...I used to put this movie on when my autistic boy was at his worse condition, helpless. He concentrated with all he had watching and cried naturally and was at peace for a while. Movies are great tools.
What l never was able to get out of my mind the first time l saw this movie is how Jack barely saved her life the first time and then in the end, well, you know. lt's irony simply taken to tragic proportions. l give Nancy Allen tremendous credit for being filmed in that submerged car; drowning while trapped in an auto was purported to be one of her worst fears: it's still one of mine. Just a brilliant film from start to finish, back when artists were still creating these gems, and utilizing powerful musical scores to boot.
@@sadiqurrahman9741 Agreed. It haunted me the first time I saw it and all these years later it still does. This film holds up magnificently while transporting me back to the late 70s, early 80s. It just doesn't get any better.
@@cynthialyman2636 100% agreed, holds up magnificently, watched this yesterday, almost 40 years after it got released. still so hauntingly beautiful. Brian De Palma, What a filmmaker!
I remember being about 12 years old when this movie came out and as a kid i couldnt get it out of my head, mind u i made my mother buy me the cassette tape and i played this track so much i damaged my radio lol..... But now it reminds me of my mother she is gone now but this song chokes me up all the time the piano playing slowing at the end always gets me.....
Everybody’s talking about how underrated and great this movie is and how John Travolta was excellent. But nobody talk about one of the scariest and greatest performances ever in a movie by John Lithgow, he was terrifying as a serial killer in Blow Out. And was even one of his first movies
amazing music.and I'm very proud to be italian like pino donaggio:brian de palma make great film and pino donaggio dress this movies with unforgettable music......
Gosh this is such gorgeous music: it perfectly underscores a fledgling romance cut tragically short (no pun intended) in a movie that was otherwise pure terror, murder, and suspense.
When I first Saw this Movie I was Hoping He was gonna Save her Again!!! So Sad he tried real hard but couldn’t. She was kinda Naive and too Trusting. Usually prostitutes gave trust issues but she seemed kind still and It was Sad. Especially for him. I feel he really Cared for her. Poor Sally.
didn't expect that the ending to be that sad . which is .not match with the comedy tone from very beginning shockly , and it is the golden time of de palma , great
Sally was Nancy Allen's name? Oh yeah. I was forced to watch Robocop again, and I again realised how much i love Miss Allen. Everything in her is just berries, apples, and smiles that make you faint. She is the one person I would feel awesome speechless out-of-body experience when you're just recording everything and can't do much, if I ever could meet her. What a wondrful, ridiculous idea! But it would sure get to be on tape :D
He managed to save her once but couldnt do it the second time...and the sad thing is that it was some what his fault for putting her in a dangerous position. He now has to live with that guilt forever...
What a powerful theme from one of the best movie ending ever made !
And also one of the best movies of the whole creation!!!!!
I agree :)
"It's a good scream. It's a good scream."
Jack cover his ears.

@Attila Szeibert saddest Scream(

This tune is a complete tear-jerker. So beautifully written and orchestrated. The context of the film makes it even sadder!

Very nice. What a shame that this movie is not very well known. This music fits the movie perfectly.

I wish he could have saved her, once again. This is so heartbreaking! Also one of the best movie ending I have ever seen

@@cynthialyman2636 great news. this is a film you want to have in your collection. Need to watch more of his works.
I also liked Dressed to Kill a lot
Donaggio created timeless art....his scores were all breathtaking!!!!!
Every time I hear this song it just creates a knot in my throat and I just want to cry.

Not a good movie for younger kids to see, really horrifying, then again I saw some really bad stuff at age 8 nobody should ever see or experience.

Pino Donaggio fait vraiment partie des meilleurs compositeurs Italiens de musiques de films.

This is truly the most beautiful song that I have ever heard it makes you want to be in love.
perfection
Pino, where ever you may be. I'd die listening to this track.
Merci!!

they don´t make soundtracks like this anymore
it is not the soundtrack it is the movie... no good movies no good music...

La musique me touche énormément.
merci pour ce partage merveilleux
Brilliant score for a brilliant film. Thanks for posting ! I love Blowout & Sally Bedina !
Meravigliosa, assoluta, eterna.....
Bravo Pino Donaggio !!
John & Nancy are as beautiful as Donaggio.... Hollywood disrespects John, and I'm here to say he's a part of this beautiful music.
Now that's a good scream!
merci !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nancy Allen it s most beautiful today

Nancy Allen pousse des cris d’horreur assurément très réalistes.
Anyone notice this was used in Mr. Robot season 2 episode 7.
Riddle
What s the link between PINO DONAGGIO and BURT BACHARACH ?
FoRZA ITALIA
this and telescope are amazing, i prefer body double over this, but both are great this one is sad af
He managed to save her once but couldnt do it the second time...and the sad thing is that it was some what his fault for putting her in a dangerous position. He now has to live with that guilt forever...
After his "Dressed To Kill" Soundtrack this is his best.
He saved her in the beginning but not In the end. So i geuss it would've been repetitive and not as exciting to watch her survive in the end?
This is why I write soundtracks. . .You feel it. .
Used to good effect in season 2, episode 7 of Mr Robot.
Good catch! I thought I was the only one that noticed that. ;)
I’ve always found this melody to be kind of emotional
He killed Lewis :(
tbh la la land ripped off of this
PINO DONAGGIO,ENNIO MORRICONE I MIGLIORI ❤
