Really good series, thanks! I have been using MP but I did not know the "Append feature" really cool! Thanks
One feature I like to use especially for mapping is to stop camera trigger just before the plane turns into the next line. So I use overshoots and leadins. This allows the plane to go past the actual turning point and immediately turn of the shutter off and commence again after entering the next line and level. really cool feature. I get lots of "Error compass variance" I have tried calibration several time, still the problem is on, is this something worrisome? heading as seen on the aircraft is always correct, but i'm usually not so much at easy if I hear some errors.

25:17 so, when you are in auto mode, you can sill control the aircraft with your remote? or, did you mean when it reached 2 meter above the ground, you changed the mode to manual and then 'my pilot' pulled the pitch control to slow down?
I've watched your four tutorial videos. good thing the cursor didn't messing up for this time

    For a fixed wing UAV
He uses XBSTATION for telemetry ( Raspberry)
The remote control, the mission planner and the plane are all connected
Do we have telemetry connection for the Remote control to act on a plane that is mile away that has XBSTATION???

If you set up an autonomous flight from Point A, B, C and D, back to A, it will achieve the flight mission regardless if you lose and regain telemetry?
Do I need telemetry to for a command RTL in an autonomous flight described above?

Great video. We were attempting our first grid flight, but the wing doesn't quite follow the plan like a lawnmower pattern. It shoots way past the point and makes a turn so wide that it only gets back on path about half way to next point. Any pointers?

Thanks for this great series, very well explained. Do you recommend a particular stable version of Mission Planner ?

+Nicholas Matias The newest version, 1.3.37 is quite good. Once you have it up and running I would not recommend updating, or at least check the changelog very carefully before you do. Also, if you do update, be sure you still have the installer file in case you need to uninstall the new version and go back.
