The fact that it was all performed live here, and all filmed in one shot, is also very impressive. This was not a music video, even though it might have looked like one! But what if I told you that when they recorded this live performance, this single shot actually continued into the next song as well? The next song was "Once Upon a Nightmare", and if you play the end of "Rivers" followed by that song, you'll notice everything is the same -- the position of everyone in relation to the camera, Simone's posture, the slight remnant of reverb in the room -- so they had this studio set up for both these songs at once, probably with all camera movements planned out ahead of time. choir singer here. this choir most likely was pre-recorded in an actual music studio/concert hall/church. You need the natural room, and special mic placements, all which are absent here.
