Got mine back in March & still having a blast on it every day. I wish it was a little faster on the top end, but it’s a riot being able to use the whole tachometer without accidentally going 150mph
That’s good to hear I’m glad you’re still enjoying it. Do you know if there’s an ECU flash or anything for it to give it a little more umph at the top end?
@@LifeOnTwosIn addition to a tune by 2WDW, I heard adding a DNA Stage II air filter and removing the snorkel on the air box can help give you a little bit extra pull in the top end
IT IS I’ve had mine for almost two years now if you want to start out on a smaller bike THIS is the perfect bike. It gets a lot of hate on the Internet but from my experience people in person seem to genuinely love this bike. I originally had it 400 before this bike I sold it less than a month later and bought the r7.
Yeah I think it gets a lot of hate because people want it to be an R6 so badly when it’s not, as soon as people get past that they’ll realize it’s an awesome bike. I’ve loved every second having mine hopefully you’re enjoying yours!
Dude what ever mic set up you have is 10/10 is sounds great! Amazingly clear! People will enjoy your content just for that reason alone! Have fun and stay safe my boy!
Try bending your arms slightly, clench the tank with your legs and using your core to keep you upright, it will relieve the pressure on your wrists and you will feel the bike turns more easily as you aren’t fighting it. It will feel strange at first but you will get used to it and your confidence will grow in the corners as well.
I was going to say the very same thing about your elbows and wrists. Use your thighs, core, and feet to support your body so that you can barely put any weight into the bars. Its still hard on a longer ride.
Good video.I have a 60 yr special edition with a quickshifter and a full akro exhaust system.everywhere I go people ask about it and they love the sound.I really like that bike.keep up posting
Glad to see this, I’ve been riding a 2017 R3 raven edition for a bit now, and I’m looking to upgrade to the R7, in the exact colors you have too, hopefully I’ll be able to find one soon, I can’t wait
Look up counter steering it’s super helpful and a game changer. I have the same bike and live up a curvy hill. You can drop it down a lot farther thank you think. Push down with some power for aggressive turns and maneuvering. And looking through your turns and where you want to go is super important because ur bike should feel as an extension of yourself just like how your legs know where to take you without thinking. Don’t look at anything you’re trying to avoid. If you’re about to miss a corner to fast and say you’re turning right you gotta completely turn your head in that direction and and not panic.
I’ve actually watched a couple videos on counter steering and they’ve helped understand quite a bit. The more I have been riding I get what you mean by the bike becoming an extension of your body as I think with more seat time it’ll only get better. Appreciate you sharing and hope you’re enjoying the R7 as much as I am. What all upgrades have you done so far?
