Hiya Bob, great to see ya as always, and may I say that was a beautifully composed shot you had there with the flowers by the window and you rolling cigarettes! Equally lovely was the restoration job you did on this cute car; I will say this again, you do the best paint jobs, full stop. Love the color scheme too, very chic. As for the bonus well, that took our collective breath away, what a true surprise! 😄👍
Excellent resto as always peter sellers had a black radford mini with wicker sides the wicker was hand painted on you van see sellers mini in a film called a shot in the dark
Great resto,Bob.I like the way you converted a 226 into a 249.I've got one,but it's all black with no stickers!No it's not rare,it's how i aquired it.
Love the Wicker Mini Bob. As with most of your work it turned out better than the original. Would have been interesting to know how these things were done in the factory in Wales.

great restoration and conversion from boring to 60/s groovy and u.f.o interceptor looks good in white and silver better than dinky with the metallic green and orange. edd straker would approve. hope you and the mrs are keeping ok. all the best Ian.

Hi Bob, nice job on the mini especially the headlamps. I suppose i’m like many where I could see what would need doing but didnt have the confidence to just go for it. The step by step guide was most welcome. As for the Interceptor, a bit of a masking master class there and it looks so much better than the Green colour Dinky used.
A great vid as always, just couldnt see how you made the roll up. Maybe keep that for another bonus👍😂 All the best to you and Mrs W. Col👍

@@BobWilliscorgi yes of course Dinky. I remember the horrible green and blue eagle transporters. I had one as a kid and painted it over in white (with poor result due to the fact that is was 8 y old ) grtz

I’m new to the channel Bob, great work, great things come from a small space, I used to make fibreglass body panels for rally cars from an old static caravan , keep up the good work, good stuff 👍🏻

Great video just came across you as I too enjoy restoring match box and corgi cars. As well as my classic cars. You do a great job. I have never done videos on the small cars only my big ones. But I'm hoping to start a 2nd channel for the model ones keep going enjoyed the videos 👍

I've followed your restorations and completed a few with your videos. I'm working on a chitty car and just wanted to let you know I had a difficult time finding the copper color. I went to a auto paint store and they mixed a spray can of lacquer in a 96 BMW paint code 520. It is almost a perfect match to the original. Just thought I would let you know. Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming. Great job.
I painted mine by hand using a copper colour pot of Humbrol enamel paint which I thought was a pretty close match 👍

That interceptor's a bobby dazzler ,I'd love one like that. SixteenTwelve have done a replica of the old wrong paint dinky version.

Great job on the mini Bob, ( not mini Bob, but mini I mean) it turned out very nice, those bloody stickers are a pain in the arse, especially the back one, I tried to make my own when I did my one but I gave up in the end, I just couldn’t get them to quite fit and I was wasting too much sticker paper so I ended up buying some ready made ones on eBay, but the back one still wouldn’t fit quite right🤦🏻♂️ Nice work with the jeweled headlights too. Now, the interceptor, wow what can I say, not usually my cup of tea, but this has turned out absolutely stunning, a lot of work must have gone into this one especially with the red markings all painted on, you can be really proud of this restoration mate, I love it👌👍😊

Nice one. Jewel headlights - I'd forgot all about those. I lost some of those doing head-on collisions, an idea I got from Gomez Addams. Well, the Corgi replica gold Aston Martin db5 arrived, Bob. Paint job better than it looked in the ads. But the rear shield only locks down about onc out of 10 times. They used a thin shield, much thinner than the slot, and shiny where the original shield was dull metal. The thinness of the shield is why it often won;t lock down - - Quality Control must have been napping there. I won;t be doing any head-on collisions this time.
And that Interceptor looks ready to be filmed in a remake of the TV series. It always bugged me on any model (including the tire shredders on the silver JB Aston Martin) when the diecast metal was let down by cheap red plastic for the outer details - - Gerry Anderson models were always letting the side down with plastic. You certainly solved that with the Interceptor paint job Bob.
Yes mate I looked on the Hornby Corgi site and saw the remake version has revolving number plates? Looked more like the 270 to me so I’ll be hanging on for my next subscription model to come from the Corgi Model Club hopefully being the correct 261, it looks identical in the pictures anyway 👍😉
@@BobWilliscorgi That's true, Bob - - they sort of compromised on taking one step to the added features of the 1968 nsilver one. No tire shredders but yes, rotating plates. The numbers are already on the plates, no transfers, though there is a 007 sticker transfer. I;m told that was on the 1965 model, but although I received one in 1965 I can't remember a sticker. Then again I can't remember the instructions hidden in the box - - it might be that I trashed the box without knowing that. That's well within the remit of a kid who went on to fail his 11+ gloriously.
@@4-dman464 The sticker your referring to was actually a Silky type cloth adhesive badge.
Research has this as a 227 mini competition.it's odd that the 226 was all over blue but 227 has a white roof! The 225 has the wording Austin seven on the base.!
