@@priismedits9628 but these don't have an intercooler stock, period. Once you turbo it sure, then you have an intercooler, cuz you need one. But make sure you check if you've got A or B pistons and figure a ring replacement into the budget because these ALL have bad rings (like saturns) and if they are somehow good, they'll blow once you tubro it (like a saturn LL0)

The k24a1 Also has vtec only on the intake side, so it needs a head swap as well. dont forget to tune it.

Hell yeah, I just bought an 03' with the AWD and 5 speed manual for my first car.
because the head setup is a POS. they’re eco K’s for a reason. if you swapped for a K24A2 head with cam and used k24a2 pistons/rods you’d be able to build it maybe worth some power but otherwise leave it stock it ain’t worth it lol
don’t be fooled, it’s one of the most FWD biased “RTAWD” systems out there lol. also be aware both the awd system and especially the transmission can be weak asf to power without some modification so make sure you do your research if you do decide to build this thing lol.
last bit of advice most 2G CRVs were auto so if yours is auto don’t even bother modding it, it’ll blow a trans easy as.
What the guy above said, plus they're top-heavy so they handle like poo and they're complete DOGS stock, also not 4x4, so there's better options for both street and off road.
These are only good to mod if this is what you have, and you like it enough, otherwise there's better options with more aftermarket or better characteristics.

that kit does not come with fuel kit or even let alone a turbo for 3 grand...the kit with all that is 7k+ depending on options picked. then your gonna need a chipped ecu a tune and most likely gonna want a wide band...

😂 you said intercooler when talking about the “different version of the k24” 🙊 The CR-V version of the K24 doesn’t have dual iVtec like the TSX or the RSX Type-S. It only has Vtec on one cam (I don’t honk it’s the intake can).
Ye those motors from the accord and crvs have IVTEC which is like economy vtec. Not the same as VTEC from the Sis
Not worth modifying them waste of time Better to just swap engine completely trust I have a 06 accord with a k24 I looked into it

What??? Yes the CRV come with a different intake manifold n such but, how would it have a “different” Intercooler if none of those came with a Turbo so it doesn’t have an intercooler.
But also You would need more than a turbo to build a sleeper Honda. You need better Suspension and Brakes first, an aftermarket clutch to put all the power to the wheels, upgraded fuel system, most likely a bit better/stronger Axles, Driveshaft & Front/Rear Diffs, and some custom fabrication & welding to Recirculate the BOV into the intake and the Wastegate Dump into the Exhaust to suppress the BOV and Wastegate sounds to make it a true Sleeper.
There’s TOO MANY New Honda Owners are buying turbo kits for their car before the car is ready. Don’t install a turbo kit if you have stock brakes/cheap suspension, beat on your Honda NA and learn about it and then you’ll now when you’re actually ready for a turbo kit. If you have to ask the Basic questions you need to know about turbos, you aren’t ready. I’m learning about little details now that help the turbo last longer and spool faster, how oil Pressure and heat affect the turbos performance, wastegate angles and the little things to Maximize your Turbos performance before spending more on new parts. I have a lot of knowledge about Turbos and how to make them leak free and last Longer
