If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.
I hope you do look around my favorite city in the world. There is much more to Thailand than Bangkok, but many people only see the airport. That to me is landing at JFK in NYC and driving straight to the country. Some people hate the big city. I'm the opposite. I like a nice beach, for about 5 days, then I get island fever.
Thanks for watching. All I ask is a thumbs up. TH-cam just added a super thanks button. I think it's on most of my videos. But, it's unnecessary. I'm just having a little fun making videos.
Great video. My wife and I are actually looking at staying in this area next January. We visited this area last month. The True Digital Park and the Whizdom condos look great. You can take the exit from the BTS to the tech park and find a great selection of restaurants and groceries etc inside. We also found a really nice German restaurant a short walk from the BTS station that was really good and decently priced.
I rented a condo at the Regent Orchid a couple years back. 15,000 a month. Nice little one bedroom w balcony. Street food. 7-11. Super convenient to BTS.
There were some real nice buildings on your walk today Joe. No Tourists = Cheaper Rent for sure. I’m like you though, I’d prefer to be near Phrom Phong for the convenience of everything
Wow, 40 years ago it must have been very quiet out that way. It's still very mellow compared to lower Sukhumvit. A short train ride from Asoke, you'll find some amazing condo deals. Thank you for watching. Hopefully you'll follow along for more looks around Bangkok. I do a fair amount of street tours. I like to get out and explore. Joe
I have a condo in 101/1 in Punnawithi near the Wat… a huge office complex and shopping mall opened there two years ago for digital nomads and offices… the American Chamber of Commerce moved there recently. When I bought there ten years ago there was nothing there, but the whole area is becoming a hive of activity.. lots of bars and restaurants owned by expats on 101/1
Well done, your videos are really great and very interesting. You really give a lot of information but it's a shame that you don't activate the option for different languages, like Thai, French etc. This would earn you many more views. Thank you in advance if you can do it.
Thanks for watching. I wish I could do that too. But, I try to put out a video everyday. You need to hire a 3rd party to translate the video into each language. This can cost hundreds for each language. Maybe one day it will be available with AI, etc.. Today, that's Mr Beast territory

Good tour there are a lot of options.
I might stay for a month or so in Bangkok just because.
My main goal is a place of my own in Pattaya.
That's a good goal. Bangkok is worth a look. Maybe stay a few months and look around. Pattaya isn't going anywhere. Plus, you're only 91 miles away
Another good look around, particularly for those of us contemplating spending more time in Bangkok, Thailand in general.

Same, whether it be Phuket or Pattaya, can only tolerate those places in small doses before hankering to get back to Bangkok@@EagerExpat
@@maxbest20s11 I'm also a BKK guy. I love to visit other spots, but Bangkok is home.
Useful info, thanks. If there were a 'buy me a coffee' thing, I would happily click on it.

I was just out there yesterday. Exploring the next station, Samrong. More videos to come.
Yo yo keep it going my brother! Blessing I will be you when I retired- I will be doing what you doing!
Retirement comes on fast. You'll ger there soon. Then get on over here. There is so much to do. I'm out filming as I type. Orange smoothie break.

I hear it's all a trade-off. I'll pay a little more to be in the centre of the city. Or you can be 20 minutes away and save a bunch
amazing when i lived ther ,there was nothing . but thats almost 40y ago. there is a nice wat between 101 and 101/1 Wat Dhammamongkon (
