Do you ever think about the fact that if you focus on sex, repressing your feelings, and denying yourself, the more it will fascinate you and may lead you to act out impulsively. It might be better to have a more balanced sexual life within healthy boundaries.

Divorce becomes more common because people enter a relationship only focusing on the physical aspects and function on a relationship lacking in emotional connection

That's a terrible lie. There is more that goes into a relationship than what you did when you met the person--it is everything that you did before you met them, plus your cultural and religious values--honor and loyalty to name a couple, and the role of husband and wife to expound. @Mbathroom1 is right, the more partners that a woman has, the higher the rate of divorce. That is a fact backed by biology, but we understand it as a statistical fact, backed by studies.
This lie that we have been perpetuating in society--relationships fail because they are based on physical attraction and not emotional connection--is an alibi for our failing culture and dysfunctional relationships. It's a platitude we tell teenagers, hoping that they will come to their own conclusion when they are more mature. The important question is why do we have a lack of healthy attachment, a lack of honor and loyalty among men and women, and the inability to connect emotionally?

Well that is explanatory for the physical aspect but not for the others. There is one great aspect that everyone knows and some know it a little more and all wifes and husband know them well: It is the times God gave. The beginning of a relationship is mostly filled with great emotions and a strong bond that is just given to the couple. As long as they are in love with each other it works fine. But the further the they go this will not stay by itself. This gift that need to be acquired day by day. It is an act of good habits and overcoming evil to have a great relationship and to stick together - not to be filled by greed, hate etc. that leads to division and divorce (on the level of the soul).
Of course there is a lot more, but this is a fact I did not practically get before I got married (my relationships we're not long enough etc. to experience that). In theory probably everyone knows it but how this forms the relationship seems to be hidden to most young people.

Christians get sex wrong too. My parents scared me when I was 8 with a sex talk featuring lots of talk about purity. Fast forward 20 years and I threw away the only meaningful relationship I had over nothing, Im grossed out by sex, and I would need a lot of therapy to even be capable of being a husband.

“What is sex for?” is maybe one of the most important questions of mankind. Today, 90% of the world population would say "Sex is for having fun, for just having a good time using another person for my own pleasure". Just a few we would say "Sex is the most important form of love I can give to my partner, so it's better to know well what is sex and to have a fair amount of knowledge about it, and then to choose very carefully the person I would give myself completely"

I was 26 when I got married (I waited and openly told my girlfriends before my future wife that I wanted to wait - they were ok with it). But - not one of them were a virgin. You know reality is hard and shows that we should not expect too much, even though we think we 'earned' it. We don't. What we need is a loving wife that takes and accepts us as we are and stays faithful to us.
What I want you to get is: be courageous and go this way in purity until you reach the aim. God is fathful to you and he will lead you the perfect way. Pray for your future wife and prepare yourself as being the head of the family. Do not think you can earn anything by staying pure - getting a wife that fits perfect for you is nothing to earn. It is one of the greatest gifts. And neither sex nor being a virgin will matter for a long time as a couple (after you have married) - it only does in the beginning (as you both will wait).
We prayed a lot for purification and went through a lots of steps of healing for broken relationships together. God prepared us as a couple for the wedding and we all should too prepare for the coming wedding when our Lord comes back. "And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure". (1. John 3,3)

@@zwoterkorinther7194 sorry man but you're wrong. Sex ties you to someone permanently and the soul ties with the first person you did it with wont disappear because you did it with someone else. Also the more times you had sex before marriage, the more likely your marriage is to fail. This is science. I'm not looking for a woman who's already tied to someone else and who is more likely to divorce me. If I wait for her, she must have at least the courtesy to return he favour.
Yes those other traits are important but I dont want a woman who gave herself away to others. Of course she can be saved and all but that doesnt make it my responsibility to clean up her mess.

"Sex is for what my religion of Christianity says it's for and nothing else" is the gist of this argument. It's a way of prescribing and dictating sexual expression for others. Something as complex as human sexuality is oversimplified and reduced to basic prescribed rudiments.

What religion does, is, it takes pleasurable things in life and it makes them "sins", thus giving it more and more control of the population. What about inventions?
The wheel? The trunk of the tree is meant to grow tall enough for sunlight and support the leaves and reproductive parts of the tree. Yet at some point humans found out that they could not only build shelters with tree parts, but they could also use logs to roll heavy objects around, the very birth of technology. BUT That's not what tree part where designed by the creator to do!
We wouldnt have the technology and machines of our time - if no one ever looked at something and decided "this thing is meant to be used for this thing, but maybe I can use it in a different way to make some completely new thing" it sounds silly put that way, but most innovation is from exactly that.

What about visual 'sex'? Regarding lust and modesty, are we Christians ‘prudes’?
Some things are just meant to be hidden. Allow me to illustrate why:
No one in the universe is more beautiful than God. He is full of “splendor and majesty.” (Psalm 104:1).
Why doesn’t God reveal his beauty to us in its fullness?
Because we couldn’t handle it. It would destroy us.
Very few people in history have been spiritually stronger than Moses, yet when he asked of the Lord, “Show me your glory,” God only partially granted his request:
“Then the Lord said, ‘There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.’” (Exodus 33:21, 22)
But one day, at "the marriage supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:9), God’s people will be “clothed with immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:54) & we will be able to completely see God’s glory.
We will see him face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12)!
The Bible says women also have glory (1 Corinthians 11:15).
Ever since Adam first laid eyes on Eve, men have been attracted to the beauty of women.
But, to rephrase the question I asked earlier, should women reveal their beauty in its fullness?
No. For the same reason I gave earlier: We can’t handle it. We men can’t, that is.
Now it’s true that just as Moses could handle more than most of us of God’s beauty, so some men can handle more than others the undressed female form.
But generally speaking, men will be tempted to think wrong thoughts, and perhaps to do wrong things, based on what they see when encountering an immodestly dressed woman.
This is the basis of the Biblical commands that women should dress modestly in public (1 Timothy 2:9, 1 Peter 3:3).
But just as there will be a time when God’s people will be ready to see him as he is, so there is an appropriate time for a man to see a woman’s beauty in its fullness: after their own "marriage supper."
God is not trying to stifle your creativity or your social life, ladies.
He has even set an example for you.
And single ladies, the best men will not be hypnotized by immodestly dressed women.
You'll want a man who knows how to control his passions, who will honor you for not revealing all of your glory.

To the non-Christians coming on here to talk trash: why are you even here? You don’t have the same energy for Islam or Judaism, which have similar rules for sex only within the bounds of marriage. It’s not us that’s noisy, it’s your conscience. Because non-Christians are guilty and deep down inside you know that premarital sex is wrong by Christian standards, and attacking theologically eases that anxiety like “dang, Christians could be right about sex being holy all along and I’m wrong”. But nobody wants to be wrong.
Let Christians be sexual within the confines of a God-blessed marriage. Stop shaming Christians for keeping chaste and abstinent. You wanna be sexual? Nobody’s stopping you. But let Christians live sexually inactive before marriage in peace.
Go to a sex podcast or the Hub if you want to validate your liberal views on sex.

God has revealed some other amazing facets as he designed marriage to illustrate the relationship of Christ and the Church.
Adam is the source of the _natural_ family: Women bear fruit by giving birth, but the entire human family started when a man gave birth to Eve, when God took her from his side.
Christ is the Source of the _spiritual_ family: The Bride of Christ bears fruit by winning souls, but the entire Church was birthed from the blood of Jesus. You might say God took the Church from the side of Christ, when the soldier ran his spear into the Lord, and blood and water came out
    .
How does the wife bear fruit and give birth? She does this with “seed” from the husband.
How does the Bride of Christ bear fruit and win souls? We do this with God’s “seed” --the Word of God, which is called seed in Luke 8.
    What a glorious mystery!

"Christians are so hung about sex..."
Well yeah. It's basically a joke at this point, that no one cares as much about the sex other people are having, than fundamentalist christians. Admittedly it's not a funny joke but I'm not a comedian.
"Before you can know, what to do with something, you have to know what that something is for."
Red flag! Sex isn't prescriptively for anything in the same way that walking down a street isn't prescriptively for anything. Some people do it to get to the store, and some people do it because they need to get a minute away from their abusive family.
"Everything that's created, has a purpose."
OH I see where the confusion is. Well, sex wasn't created. There ya go!
"The same principle applies to sex."
No it doesn't. This is where your thinking is bad.
"The only way for us to know how to act sexually towards others, is to first answer the question, 'What is sex for?'"
Uhm no. That should honestly never come up unless your a sex addict and it's causing you or someone else's life problems. Again, sex has no prescriptive use.
"Once we know what sex is for we can know how to experience it the way God intended for it to be experienced."
You know, I hear a lot about what God wants but it's always from fallible people. Just saying it would solve a lot of problems if God would just come down and explain it themselves, which he didn't seem to have a problem with in biblical times.
    "God created sex..."
Nope. Don't have enough time to unravel that.

The key question is this: *What is sex for?* When we answer this correctly, it makes sense why sex is for marriage, and why sex is only between a man and a woman. A man's body on its own makes no sense. A woman's body on its own makes no sense. But when they unite together in marriage, the conjugal act points to that blessed reality of our ultimate union with God in Heaven.

The topic wasn't so well understood... First and all-embracing is the existence of two different Types, The Parenter or Marriage Types, called Borledim; and the Lover Types, called Yeh. Their Two paths aren't really made to mix. Parenter Types have no portent for sex-fulfillment, sex-for-pleasure, masturbation, same-sex; the Parenter Type Religions don't either. They are Buddhism, Orereth, Mystery Cults, Hinduism, Sufism, Animism or Paganism (the only exception), Jainism, Christianity (Removed, now there are only 11 Religions on this mandala), Shinto, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, Zalmoxism. None of these except for Paganism or Animism accomodate the Lover Types; pleasure generally, in fact; these sorts of sex-activities above-mentioned. In their vicinities much existed correctly called Paganism; they would take the name of the local Parenter Type Religion; each vicinity has a Wisdom deity, which the two would share. The same truth is stated, they are of forbidden under that typology- expression as from a severity viewpoint. There is no portent for them, typologically. Protestantism constituted more a duplicitousness, as they would say they were Christians, but would not keep it so secret they believed more in sex-for-pleasure, masturbation, pre-marital sex, perhaps even same-sex- especially the U.C.C.. Maybe sex first, marriage later, concept. There cannot be a synthesis of the Two Paths, Paganism and Christianity. Generally, Protestants tended to have more suffering and love-difficulties; Catholics, slightly better to be born, had a special blessing from goddess Juno; had more natural wisdom in such matters, including the portent of the aeon for more secretivemess, if they were not desirous of being "sticklers" in the matter. Marriage is for Marriage-Fulfillment, not for Love- or Sex-Fulfillment, these latter two being the same basically. More and more with the Sign Yeh, Lovers began to be born as Aquarius began to approach; the end of 33 Grand Aeons, all Parenter Type aeons...

Besides, choice doesn't overrule truth or moral excellence... Even with regards to sex.

@@mpdebate6239 "moral excellence" you aren't morally excellent for waiting till marriage, you aren't better than anyone else, you're a person like everyone else. If you wanted to wait than go ahead, but you should mind your own business, didn't jesus himself ( Matthew 7 :: NIM) "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others"

@@Jenna-in4br Teaching Godly principles to those who are of the faith, just like Jesus learned as he was growing up, is not judging.
You do realize you're being a hypocrite right?
You're judging a faith for its faith when you're not even a part of the faith and you're attempting to judge a faithful person's faith as judgemental.
So you've broken your own moral law...
There is no such thing as waiting till marriage. Secular society has no clue what sex truly is, nor what true marriage is... sadly, neither do most christians.
Sex is marriage. There is no such thing as waiting till marriage or premarital sex. The moment you have sex with someone, you've made a soul tie, you've become one flesh as God puts it. You're united. God sees you as such. Scripture points to this truth time and time again.
When I said moral excellence in regards to sex, I was referring to engaging in a Godly and natural sexuality.
This means no transgenderism, no effeminate men or masculine women, no homosexuality, no bestality, no pansexuality, no lust or orgies or adultery, no fornication, or pornography, etc.

I am a Christian man who has struggled severely with sexual sin and temptation that I can’t see anything good about sex or being a man so I have considered undergoing surgery to transform my body into a woman. Please pray for me. This maybe sinful but if I’m born again then so must be my gender.

Pre-marital sex is NOT a sin. Unless, of course, the guy doesn't come.
