I cannot believe I have found this. I first heard this is the early 90s, and fell in love with it. I have been looking for this track for years. And I haven't forgotten it... it's been 30 years and I'm tapping along like it was yesterday. Thank you so much.
Wow! I had one of the Sound Blaster cards in the early 90s and this came to mind for some reason but I couldn’t remember the name of the demo. I’ve been using different Google searches for the past hour trying to remember what this thing was called. Thank you!
The composer is not unknown, he is Christof Mühlan (by his scene handle Banana). See here: amp.dascene.net/detail.php?view=500 and here demozoo.org/sceners/1075/
I am a follower of the demoscene since back then and stumbled over your video by accident. Your call for help was intriguing and said to myself "Hey I know who was that". :) You might also be interested in searching on scenemusic.net where most of the music from that era ended up.
I'll be sure to check them out! I've been wading through the archives at DemoZoo and finding some other tunes I remember from the BBS demo scene, MOD trading, and a few familiar loader/trainer tunes too.
You can get an MP3 and MIDI remix of this song, additional info, and even the PC demo from here: jasonwilliams400com.startlogic.com/snor/weeds/Echoing.htm
