Apologies for the wobbly camera in the beginning! Unbeknownst to me, my chair was rubbing against the boom stand.

I've come straight to the comments to complain. I was all dizzy. How dare you.

You have a real knack for finding the sounds that others don't. That's why I keep coming back to this channel.

Undoubtedly the best walk-through/play-around of this module I've seen. The electro-munchkin choral group @16+ was really entertaining.

haha thank you! Can't beat the electro-munchkin choral group!

Wow some really impressive sounds you got out of this module. I think both Chipz and Cellz from the nifty bundle are massively underrated. I got the Nifty bundle recently and after a bit of playing around, I'm really happy with it. I don't have any modular FX yet, but sent Chipz into Valhalla Supermassive and it sounded amazing! Thanks for the videos dude. Really enjoying them

Cheers man! I haven't even tried Cellz yet! I keep meaning to give it a go..anything into Supermassive sounds amazing to be fair lol

I’m curious- why are you using that Behringer PSU instead of the built in one? Love the vid, Chipz is life:)

This module. I just couldn't stand it and I couldn't sell it. It sat around for the last year.
Then you do this video and it really just highlights that time and learning is everything with eurorack. This video is wild man.

So lovely. By far the best demo I've seen of this module and you didn't even use the internal LFO (I'm wondering if it could have subbed in for Maths on the drone or funky sequences patches?)

    • @TheUnperson
      @TheUnperson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thank you! yea I should have used it in the droney patch - just so used to using maths lol :)

This is the best modular synth channel !!!
You are most likely the reason I am going to order a NiftyCase to pair with my minibrute 2s and dive deeper into modular, although I see you got rid of yours(?) in the newest videos, but you certainly was able to squeeze a better sound out of it than anybody else.
    Thanks for your videos

I am made up to see this. I am hoping to very soon see Chipz and Cellz incorporated into my system. I love you vids in general, you sound majorly chilled out.
I was drawn to the Chipz module because I wanted a dirty sound, and a synth you wouldn't take home to you mother 😀

Sounds lovely - gives a kind of 1960s-70s computer vibe with all the glitchy, unintentional sounds and the addition of a spring reverb and tape echo and the ratcheting. Makes me think of the Michael Caine spy thriller "The Billion Dollar Brain".
Nice demonstration and again, I really like yer patches!

I'd been on the fence for a while, but finally ordered a NiftyBundle. I've seen a lot of videos that really make Chipz & Cellz look pretty meh, but I figured any oscillator and sequencer at that price would serve a purpose at least until I budgeted for something better like the Behringer 110, 140 and 182. Your video, however, highlights the idea that Chipz can actually make some pretty useful sounds! How long Chipz & Cellz will stay in the case after I start accumulating other modules remains to be seen, of course...

I sold cellz. Bought marbles. But cellz is good. For sure. Now I’m a rings guy and plaits as well. I have the same case also and I have to say I kept chips because of its raw analog waveforms and lfo it’s nice to have that kind of oscillator in your rack and I think this module is very much over looked
