    Yet another inspirational vid! Amazing. I’ve not dug much into the green mode and going to have to give it a shot now. Looking forward to welcoming you to Wavetable this month…

    You totally turned me onto the Data Bender. I had to give you a monster shout out in a drum video when I used the data bender and the Aurora reverb. Keep it up and thanks.

      @@TheUnperson Oddly, I let the Aurora go. It was more than I needed. Settings were a bit finicky. It was hot on drums though.

    Great ideas! I love having the data bender at the end of my signal chain as well. I usually end up using my hands to modulate everything in the micro mode, but I’m going to start experimenting with CV to everything now too. The yellow saturation mode can get brutal. Square wave to pitch and gates to turn on/off decimate are super useful starting points. Thanks!

    • @TheUnperson
      @TheUnperson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers man! Yea the saturation mode is pretty nice ~ I love running 808 style drums through it 😎

    I totally see where you're coming from in making this video. If you're anything like me there's nothing worse than being too predictable in music. Also, I've watched your videos for a while now and have been waiting for you to modulate the Data Bender more so this is right up my alley. As always, cheers and thanks for the good time!

    • @TheUnperson

      Yeah I feel like Rings really has this problem too, which is why I always modulate the heck out of it when I'm using it lol

    This module sounds completely mental! My local vendor has just got stocks of Aurora which is next month's purchase. I'm going to ask them if they can get Data Bender too.
    As always, your music is good and weird and mad. Cheers!

    One of my frequent collaborators uses DB. I have already co-opted Plaits from him, and OC. I think I have to leave DB to him. It is super cool though.

    While most people seemed to like the blue mode, I was more drawn to the green mode. Can't wait til new firmware comes out so that there is no bleed of original dry signal when mix is full wet. It kind of kills it when the original pitch isn't in key with new wet pitch. You can't always hear it but when you can it sounds bad.

    • @TheUnperson
      @TheUnperson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't noticed any bleed at all on mine. I am really looking forward to the firmware update tho!

    Definitely coming to the party a bit late on this video, but was wondering how you are integrating the audio and syncing the 808 beats into the modular. Great stuff. I’m loving the Data Bender, but have only had it for a couple of weeks. Hugely inspirational.

    • @TheUnperson
      @TheUnperson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm using Pam's New Workout to set the BPM in the modular, and using it to clock the Data Bender, Beads, etc. Then I just set the drum machine and OP1 to the same BPM and press play in time lol. It is possible to clock the RD-8 with Pam's also as it does have a clock in.
