I had looked at all 3 of your videos and contributed to my purchase of the unit - just got mine in last week. Thank you for being upfront and honest about this. As you say there is NOTHING that is a cheaper intro into modular than this. You can start to make noise without any additional purchases - and once hooked up to a DAW there is much more you can do than with just the modules alone. I hope to learn as I go - modular has such a steep learning curve but happy to bleep, bloop and learn as I go. I would also recommend users to try VCV rack to get a feel of what you could do, and if you get Rack 2, you can use it with the NiftyBundle and figure out which modules work best for you and your kit!
Awesome videos! Very tempting for me to use it with the MC-101 for portable setup, because 2 tracks can be modular voices, while I do full drums and chords on the 101. I have a little 60hp case for portable stuff, but not with midi to cv and outs already taken care of!
Thank you for clarifying what the usb does 🙏🏽 So if you aren’t playing or sending any notes to the module it’ll be just a constant sound that’s put out?
@@outdatedgear5036 The voltage would go to the sound generator (typically a voltage controlled oscillator) which would generate a sound which would then go to a VCA to be combined with an envelope or another shape.
Oct 2024 just ordered one.

Not a constant sound but rather a constant voltage.
@@TheModularClubhouse so that’s where the vca would come in correct?
