I’ve been eagerly waiting for this song’s release, and I’m not ashamed to admit that it’s got me tearing up after only the first verse. Sometimes it feels like I’m completely replaceable. Disposable even. These words are something I’ve needed to hear for a long time. By listening to this song, I can hear someone say that I matter and that I can’t be replaced. I can’t express how much I’ve needed that. Absolutely incredible as always
This song is a knife in my heart, hit hard in every way possible. By far, this is my favourite song from you guys, not just because of the awesome vocals and epic instrumental… but because those lyrics broke me into tiny, fragmented pieces. I relate so much to this song. In my friend group, I'm considered the "stable" one who everyone can turn to for help. It seems like no one ever sees that I'm struggling. Citizen Soldier shows more empathy through their music than the people in my life show me. This song is the embodiment of the message in it. We can use our pain to become kinder, more compassionate people and make a difference in someone else's life. The opportunity to do that is worth holding on for. I just wish non traumatized/depressed people as a whole could learn to be more compassionate.
The only person that I have EVER met that understands ME lives half way across the planet, some times its just that hard to find someone that will understand you. Whats even worse is the feeling of being alone when you are surrounded by people that care for you yet will never understand you...

I love the fact that when you say "Find purpose in your pain" theres a picture of a rose showing that although they have thorns they are perceived as one of the most prettiest flowers showing us that even though were in pain we still shine and that we shouldnt be ashamed of our pain.

Which really sucks because my life is pretty good right now(I'm 17), so then I end up hating myself for not being happy. :D But, I did just apply for a college; gonna major in computer science(I want to make a career outta designing videogames), so hoping that'll fulfill me a bit more soon. Seeing how you're doing so much better now though is giving me the courage to keep going, so thank you sincerely for that!
@Sethsimracing I've done the self harm. I still want to sometimes. Put all those things away or have someone put them away for you. My arm is full of scars from it. Remember you can't be replaced. There are people that care about you. Things can change all the time. Stay strong, you got this. Do you play fortnite? I run my own discord server with a bunch of guys that like to play around but are super sweet when people are going through things.

I've said it before but this nails the point. Any time you feel that ending your life will save you from your pain, just look behind you to see how many others you might be taking with you. There may be people you have never met before that see you struggle and that gives them hope that they can overcome their own problems. I mentioned in a comment that I had been trying to be a nicer person and spread the joy that I felt whenever I could, someone responded that I was just going to be used and that no one would remember me...... my response was simple "of course no one will remember me...... that's not my goal" however if I can give someone else even the briefest escape from their problems with a joke or just by listening to what they have to say then my life will have ment something to me..... and that's all that matters. I hope you all find the happiness you seek and remember that if you leave this world behind...... you might just be taking the only reason someone else was holding on with you.

"Find purpose in your pain." You know, this just reminded me that it's been about 10 years since the night I almost gave up. My memory feels like it gets worse every year, but that's one night I can still remember clearly. How one moment I was feeling so much, then another nothing at all, then back to feeling everything. I still struggle with my MDD every day since then - little things and big things - but I can now confidently say that I haven't had another moment like that where I thought about giving up. Looking back, I thought I did find my purpose in my pain, but I think it was just a distraction for a while until I could steady myself and start trying to move forward. And even though it frustrates me often that I have yet to find my life purpose, I can say with no doubt in my voice or heart that I have since regained my will to live. No, my want to live. I want to live my life honestly and to the fullest, and I want to do it with this music in my playlist to remind me of what I walked away from. You guys weren't around back then to help pull my out, but you being around now helps me keep my head up high :) I'm not ready to call myself "strong" yet, but goddamn am I resilient :)

This helps me by remembering that even if I have not seen my family with my 3 nieces and 2 nephews since 2018. Due to my family misguiding after our head of house was my father who lost his fight with stage 4 cancer in 2017 . And I was in a dark place , I had OD been in such heavy pain in my past from losing my father 💔. Yet I always told myself my 1st OD try was in 2014 when my 1st nephew was only 3 years old and I was just in freshman year In high school and eventually I told myself , I will be fighting the demons of my own mental health which is Bipolar type 1 and PTSD. I will always be here for my nephews and nieces & planning to I live for all of my smart , silly Nieces and nephews . Because Family is family even if my brother and his baby momma turned their own backs on me . I will always be their Auntie Mar. 😢 which makes the holidays hurt still .

As a former victim of school bullying, I was touched by the beauty, power and truth of this song. I found a lot of the me before in these words. I hated myself and everyone, I wanted to give up everything, to die. But in the end, with the support of my family, I chose to fight this fire that was consuming me from the inside. I decided to save lives, mine but also those of my family that I could have broken by doing the irreparable. It wasn't up to my harassers to decide for me, I was the only one who could write my own story. This is why I send all my support to those who suffer from harassment, abuse, etc... I know it's easier said than done but don't let the pain win. Transform it into strength to fight and get back on track, because you are irreplaceable. This song definitely lit a fire in me. It reminds me of myself. I've been through shit, I've been broken, I've been suicidal. I had those days. But then I faced and fought it. Now I'm able to stand in other people's shoes and lend them the sttength and experience of my days in hell, what I've been through because I understand. Ever since I made a stand and standing on my own feet I've been helping others out of suicide. They're living happily nowadays. Though no one else gave me a hand during my darkest moments.

I love the fact that when you say "Find purpose in your pain" theres a picture of a rose showing that although they have thorns they are perceived as one of the most prettiest flowers showing us that even though were in pain we still shine and that we shouldnt be ashamed of our pain.

My boss saved me from driving off a bridge. I was literally at the end of my rope. And he said I couldn't be replaced. (And not in the job sense). I've been going through some really hard things and amazingly he keeps me grounded.

@Sethsimracing I've done the self harm. I still want to sometimes. Put all those things away or have someone put them away for you. My arm is full of scars from it. Remember you can't be replaced. I run my own discord server with a bunch of guys that like to play around but are super sweet when people are going through things.

I've said it before but this nails the point. Any time you feel that ending your life will save you from your pain, just look behind you to see how many others you might be taking with you. There may be people you have never met before that see you struggle and that gives them hope that they can overcome their own problems.
I mentioned in a comment that I had been trying to be a nicer person and spread the joy that I felt whenever I could, someone responded that I was just going to be used and that no one would remember me...... my response was simple "of course no one will remember me...... that's not my goal" however if I can give someone else even the briefest escape from their problems with a joke or just by listening to what they have to say then my life will have ment something to me..... and that's all that matters.

You know, this just reminded me that it's been about 10 years since the night I almost gave up. My memory feels like it gets worse every year, but that's one night I can still remember clearly. How one moment I was feeling so much, then another nothing at all, then back to feeling everything. I still struggle with my MDD every day since then - little things and big things - but I can now confidently say that I haven't had another moment like that where I thought about giving up. Looking back, I thought I did find my purpose in my pain, but I think it was just a distraction for a while until I could steady myself and start trying to move forward. And even though it frustrates me often that I have yet to find my life purpose, I can say with no doubt in my voice or heart that I have since regained my will to live. No, my want to live. I want to live my life honestly and to the fullest, and I want to do it with this music in my playlist to remind me of what I walked away from. You guys weren't around back then to help pull my out, but you being around now helps me keep my head up high :)

This helps me by remembering that even if I have not seen my family with my 3 nieces and 2 nephews since 2018. Due to my family misguiding after our head of house was my father who lost his fight with stage 4 cancer in 2017 . And I was in a dark place , I had OD been in such heavy pain in my past from losing my father 💔. Yet I always told myself my 1st OD try was in 2014 when my 1st nephew was only 3 years old and I was just in freshman year In high school and eventually I told myself , I will be fighting the demons of my own mental health which is Bipolar type 1 and PTSD. I will always be here for my nephews and nieces & planning to I live for all of my smart , silly Nieces and nephews . Because Family is family even if my brother and his baby momma turned their own backs on me . I will always be their Auntie Mar. 😢 which makes the holidays hurt still .

Somehow you plucked what I have been telling myself for over 20 years out of my head and made into a song. Survivor of abuse as a child and the words of this song in one form or another is what kept me alive. Thank you for this amazing song!

As a former victim of school bullying, I was touched by the beauty, power and truth of this song. I found a lot of the me before in these words. I hated myself and everyone, I wanted to give up everything, to die. But in the end, with the support of my family, I chose to fight this fire that was consuming me from the inside. I decided to save lives, mine but also those of my family that I could have broken by doing the irreparable. It wasn't up to my harassers to decide for me, I was the only one who could write my own story.
This is why I send all my support to those who suffer from harassment, abuse, etc... I know it's easier said than done but don't let the pain win. Transform it into strength to fight and get back on track, because you are irreplaceable.

Now I'm able to stand in other people's shoes and lend them the sttength and experience of my days in hell, what I've been through because I understand.
