The horns are loud a F in real life.
Most people who said they don't like the horns just heard it online, and never actually heard it in real life. Plus, ontop of that, the locomotives themselves have a really loud rumble to em.
Love it.
they are loud, but it's just the Way Sunrail put boxes over them so they can sound quieter, which they have been fouled, however they are loud lol. The cab car horns are the ones i like the most!

oh no! the Engine was blocked by the view because of how wide it was lol, i can assure you there is no type of diesel engines in the car themselves, if u have seen from the entire video.

In my opinion all of these horns should be replaced with good sounding K5LAs
In other videos posted of sunrail the horn sounds awful 😣 but in this video they sound way better 👍

To be Honest all the MP36PH-Qs all have good sound quality within the p3 and p5s despite being put in a metal box. While Bi-level cabs I call some of them the elephant horn

What type of horn dose the Sunrail locomotives and cabcar use?
Cabcar uses Nathan P3, Locomotive uses Nathan P5

@@CentiCORF You are mistaken. SunRail uses a Nathan P2 on both locomotives and cab cars. They use bells 1 and 2. Here is an example of the horn: th-cam.com/video/BPs7rKe98GQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ye7qInVLDENVj6Ua Some of these horns sound slightly different due to fouling thanks to dirt/grime getting into the horn. A P3 or P5 horn uses a large manifold that would be very difficult to fit into a steel box. A P2 can easily fit into a metal box as seen on Caltrain units.
