Im working in a genre that’s all analog/traditional instruments, and I’ve found that I like to just put a send on every instrument to the same reverb on a track because it sounds more like a band playing in a room where the room reacts to the instruments together as one source of sound rather than a bunch of different sources of reverb colliding into each other. Once I started doing that it was a lot easier to manage the reverb in the mix. I still might send lead vocals to another reverb for effect but for the most part all instruments and vocals hit the same reverb unit at different levels and it sounds more cohesive and it’s a far less complicated mix.

That’s cool, yeah totally make sense to do that. I’ve made other genres and yeah I like putting a room reverb on drums for example to give it more of that real life sound.

Thank you so much! Especially on this one I kept re-recording so I could make it more concise. I worry sometimes that my videos aren’t flashy enough but comments like these are very encouraging :).

@@Lucassnydermusic Keep going mate. I hope this grows. The content you provide makes more sense and you are more articulate. You make sure you mention little things that people start skipping making their mixes worsen as they advance adding more steps.
