  • Harvard held its commencement for the Class of 2024 on Thursday, but the ceremony was met with some protesters rallying outside Harvard Yard after school officials announced that 13 students who participated in the pro-Palestinian encampment won’t be able to receive degrees alongside their classmates.

There’s some confusion this is not freedom of speech, it’s bullying, hence the action.

The students are taught to protect and promote democracy and justice all their life but they are violently silenced when they practice what they learned. Shruti you made the entire humanity proud by standing up to the oppressors. You acquired education and not just a piece of paper that Harvard denied to the 13 brave men and women. Harvard can deny a piece of paper but can’t take away what they have learned and are practicing their right to freedom of expression.

Nigeria vs Boko Haram 350,000 dead
    Sudan JEM/Darfur 300,000 dead
    Yemen Houthis 233,000 dead
    Pakistan Islamists 50,000 dead
    Syria 400,000 dead
    South Sudan 400,000 dead
Ethiopia and Eritrea vs Tigray 600,000 dead
No protests for all these dead.
It is not about people in Gaza, it is in service of foreign interests and agendas.

You know why gxzx is gainingtraction than others atrocities? UN members has always overwhelmingly voted for ceasefire, yet US vetoes every single time. So protest should happen in US. You cannot preach democracy and be willing to kxll anyone who doesnt follow it (just like how US destabilize iraq), and disregard democracy at the same time by vetoing every resolutipn for ceasefire. I mean democracy means rule of majority, then why US is suddenly not practicing what its preaching?

You cannot preach freedomwhile at the same time suppress freedom. Thats straight up hypocrisy. If you do so, you are either morally corrupt of part of the hxsbara mafia.

I haven’t made up my mind what I think about this due to a lack of information. What did these 13 do differently than other students? Did they vandalize buildings? Did they hinder the rights of others with their actions? Did they assault security or police? How did they pick these 13 out of the (dozens or hundreds?) of students? They couldn’t have been the only graduates protesting, but no one is providing us with specific reasons. Is this due to privacy laws? I can’t support either side without the information.

"Do you hear us?" Yes, for weeks and weeks. And we deem your demands impetuous, and based on a narrow reading of events and on narratives manufactured in part by networks linked to foreign adversaries.
