I'm a 62 year old grandmother in the US. I'm proud of you and the students/young people and all those fighting against this genocide. My father was from Iraq, my mother from the US. He immigrated here and I grew up as a '"brown" kid in rural Indiana. I was overachiever and did well and my father set a good example who was in academia/Ph.D. I watched as our gov't made up lies about "weapons of mass destruction" to justify the invasion/destruction of Iraq and how Americans dehumanized arabs and had little thought for all of the Iraqi's who lost their lives on war based on ALL LIES. Iraq had nothing to do with 911! Now I'm watching as that same dehumanization is being used to justify GENOCIDE in GAZA and ethnic cleansing in E. Jerusalem and the West Bank. Incredible. Stay strong and keep fighting the moral fight based on truth and justice for all! Thank you!

The whole plagiarism scandal is a classic case of "find any damn excuse possible." Claudine Gay is no ally of Palestinians, but the accusations of plagiarism were making a doctoral thesis out of a high school essay, so to speak. The fact that she was targeted for saying (in one moment anyways) what was strictly, legally true, shows that 'they' aren't interested in dialogue.

Aipac morphed from the IOF, the Israel Office of Information before 1948, into the political action committee in 1963 and "public affairs committee" recently.
