    May God protect all those who inhaled it first and
    Punish all those who knew and made furtunes out of it

    Many People do not know the risk of Asbestos until it's too late. Sadly almost if not all the Asbestos related disease are not cured and Fibers can stay in your clothing affecting your love ones also.I urge all of you to take An Asbestos Awareness class. Training is your best bet to know how to protect yourself ...before its too late.

    If I’m a renter and the ceiling has asbestos, are they required to change it?

    • @okkrom
      @okkrom 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not knowing your exact location that question is hard to answer. Most likely, no the renter has no obligation to remove the ceiling if its plaster as it is not dangerous until it is disturbed (demolished, crumbled, etc.) Acoustic tiles might me another story.

    I am also, How many times do we enter a work area for evaluation and it's a snow storm or pipe & elbow debris is all over the floor. After 25 years, who is going to help us ? People don't realize the years we take off our life to make a living. Stay healthy rebelsam1987.

    Is there anyway to test yourself for damage done to yourself, I worked in a construction job last year and they had me in a ceiling with a bunch of fiber glass and maybe this because it was a really old building plus I didn’t wear any type of safety equipment due to not knowing better.

    there are many nails and holes in my room, and there is probably asbestos in here. i was right there when they were drilled in..... i also clawed at a decaying piece of wall by a window alot when i was younger, that had a slightly furry/hair like substance behind it.. i was at it all the time. i'm fucked, aren't i? :)

    have you even heard of a low pass filter? i think this and compression would make these videos not hurt peoples ears. theres a high pitched ringing that comes from the voice and a low pass filter would totally fix that.

    There's this school near my friends house that is being demolished. We decided to go do some urban exploration there whike it's still standing. I wore a scarf over my face (altough it doesen't probably help alot) and what do you know there were these huge bags marked asbestos over there. I hope there wasn't much of that in the air, but likelyhood of that is pretty high I think. after seeing that I immideatly wanted to leave there but my friends didn't. I left soon after. My question is, how fucked am I?

      I would say not too fucked. Your scarf helped a bit and if you saw bags that were labeled asbestos, perhaps the removal of the asbestos had already taken place. I have worked in places like that and the bags are usually bundled up when they are finished.

    How much exposure does it take to get a asbestos related disease?

    • @Jusala12
      @Jusala12 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tom Jardine I believe it requires repeated exposure over a number of years.

    • @Jusala12
      @Jusala12 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ash hen An entire week? There may be some damage, but over the long term that is probably ok. Always wear personal protective equipment in those circumstances.

    I work in roofing, just a week ago i found out shingles are made up of 90% asbestos.. this type of stuff scares me i started wearing a mask.. i hope to live till my 70s im 20 but i highly doubt it.. :/

    • @TurkishSuperGuy
      @TurkishSuperGuy 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dont worry, you would have to inhale a huge amount before you can develop any sort of health problem, as a kid i used to play with asbestos boards, build cubby houses, break them up for fun, use them as chalk on conrete, you name it..i am 40+ and couldnt be healthier. But becasue the public scare is now at large people hire professional help rather then DIY.

      Then Throw the mask out in safe disposable zip lock bags, if you used it once. dont use it second time dosnt matter how good the filter. You should be ok.

    • @rexbrown8975
      @rexbrown8975 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Guardian Angel I've used it like for 30 minutes maximum once xD is that enough time for the asbestos to fuck me up?

    • @TurkishSuperGuy
      @TurkishSuperGuy 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rex Brown
      Rex you should be ok, back in the day I used to work around fibre sheet without masks, if i am ok then you should be. Dont stress it, if you inhaled and fibres you would be on high fever and coughing up lots of phlem by now. ( a sign the body is trying to get rid of a foregin substance)

    as they say: high concentrations over a long period of time, you are not the only one who experieced some nasty job for short time
    but avoid it , I have to make a new slogan here: avoid it as it is asbestos.
    By the way go t your family doctor and say the same as you sayd to me.
    Know that very day some camion transports rejected asbestos, so every one comes in contact with it
    9/11 workers got ill after long exposure not in one day
    But talk to the doctor, I am no doctor
    yes you 'll be ok!
