Thank you so much for the tutorial. I'm not trying to take away anything you just did, however, I found an easier way to get rid of the seam. Once you upload the grid photo , click on edit, magic eraser, use a brush of around 25-30, pull the brush straight down the seam, and the ai will fill in the space to match the scene/pixels around it - without erasing anything.
Yes! Love that too! I’ll make sure to do another video on this way as well, because it is definitely the fastest but sometimes it doesn’t look the best depending on the artwork.
This would depend on the mockup you have chosen. There are some mockups that are videos showing the tumbler turn. There are other that are a view of three sides etc.
Thanks so much-I’m so glad you loved the tutorial! 😊 Great question about DPI! While Canva doesn’t let us adjust DPI directly, the print quality is determined by the pixel dimensions of the design relative to the print size. For example, the design we created is 2790x2460 pixels, which translates to 300 DPI when printed at 9.3” x 8.2” (the typical size for a tumbler wrap). So as long as the pixel dimensions match your desired print size at 300 DPI, there’s no need to adjust DPI further. If you’re printing larger designs, you might need to create or upscale the design to higher pixel dimensions to maintain 300 DPI. Let me know if you’d like more info on this!
Great question! The reason I start with a 3000x3000 square canvas instead of the final tumbler dimensions is because creating a seamless design requires both sides of the design to align perfectly when wrapped around the tumbler. Using a square canvas and a two-column grid ensures that the edges of your design match up seamlessly, as the left and right sections are evenly spaced and identical. This wouldn't work as effectively with the tumbler dimensions (2790x2460px) because they're not square-one side is longer than the other, which makes it harder to ensure perfect alignment when creating the seamless effect. Once the seamless design is complete, resizing it to the proper tumbler dimensions ensures it fits the tumbler correctly without distorting the pattern. Thanks for asking-this is such an important step to understand when working on tumbler wraps!
Hi there! Are you referring to the 30oz Tumblers like this one here? rtssublimationblanks.com/products/30-oz-regular-tumbler-white?_pos=2&_sid=9a4219fce&_ss=r
My grids are not dividing the image in half, do you know that is causing that? I’m fulling the exact steps but imagine just aren’t lining up. Update: I did it. I think it had something to do with the design I picked.

thank you learned a lot
Thank you so much for this - this is really clever 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much!!
Thanks
Fantastic please do more tutorials like this.
Absolutely!
Thank you, this was very useful. It would help me make better designs
Awesome! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you so much this is exactly what I’m looking for
Happy to help!
How would you put this on a mock-up of a tumbler wrap without it looking like 2 sides?
This would depend on the mockup you have chosen. There are some mockups that are videos showing the tumbler turn. There are other that are a view of three sides etc.
Do you have a tutorial on how to do this in kittl? Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving!
I do not but I am happy to create one. Ill add to my list.
And I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Do you cut the pattern into pieces to make multiple tumblers or is the pattern the print?
The pattern is the print. Makes it to where there won't be a seam when the tumbler is finished.
Hi this was very helpful. Thank you. Do you download the pattern as transparent background and at the 3000 x 3000 px size? Thank you
Nope but you can. This depends on the design itself.
loved this tutorial. So, is the next step adjusting the dpi? This needs to be done for print quality right? thanks

Is there a reason you didn’t start with the resized dimensions??

How could this be done for a 30 ounce skinny
