I find myself right in between you both. I’m an older rider like Marty (probably much older), but I used to race bikes and love performance like Dawn. Yet, I am riding freestyle acrobatics most of the time. Not by choice. It just happened. My daily rides are in survival mode, because of the so many moving and ever changing obstacles that I have to deal with, in the highest population density. I have 14000 people per square km around me. I love that culturally rich environment, but it’s a challenge to ride a wheel in the middle of all of them. The wheels that you are showing us, are ringing the nostalgic performance bell in my memory. But, I’m condemned to dancing around with the music in my earbuds, and taking reward in the so many smiling faces on my way. Cheers to both of you. Many thanks for your videos.
Hey Marty glad you're back & in one piece 😅. Getting the flu on day 1 during vacay suxs da big one. That said, you do realize you're in Dongguan right. Together with Shenzhen, its one of the more if not most commercialized & industrialized zones (& very population dense) areas in China so not surprised you found it the way you did. Not much for tourists going on there China is huge with 5x more population than the US but there are parts where the air is much cleaner with some amazing scenery eg Guizhou, Qinghai & Yunnan (where Kuji Rolls currently reside). Indeed I'm investigating Yunnan (& Chiang Mai Thailand) as a possible venue for early retirement. And you'd be impressed if you visit Shanghai with their modern hi-rises, transportation system incl 240 mph hi spd rail & robotaxis. But you're 100% right that its not SoCal (when its not on fire that is😜). Not very many places on earth are but that said, I cant wait to visit Zhangjiajie Karst Mtn range with its fairy like landscape that I've only seen in movies. Glad you made it back & had a good time

A Lady's Cave - thanks for the chuckle. Glad Marty is back from China and feeling well again. Getting sick, endless flight, hectic schedule = not fun. And yes, CA mountains rule! Is the X-Way perhaps not so bad when used for its intended purpose - off-roading? P.S. - Agree about the Master - it's good for off-road. In some ways, I like mine for OR riding better than my Patton. Creaky, crude suspension, but it gets the job done.

I've been holding out from buying a begode wheel. My fear is that if I do buy a begode wheel then a year later I wouldn't be able to find parts for it due to them not supporting it anymore. The panther might be the one I pull the trigger. I want a long range wheel for Roger's tour this year. If there is one.
I hope they can improve the software on x-way to allow for beeps at like 52 or 53. I want to be able to hit 48 safely. I can already go 42 on my S22, so I'm not going to upgrade for only 7 or 8 mph more

The difference between the X-Way and the S22 is like a Porsche vs Civic
@ElectricUnicycles I definitely want to upgrade and I do love I torque but I want more than a few extra mph
@@NeverSurrenderMAGA If you want more than 10-mph than you won't be getting the torque. Sounds like you're a speed guy. Go for the ET Max.
