I also own both of these Kenwoods. The F6a was very advanced for it's time and is still a remarkable radio. The 74a shines with the APRS, GPS and Dstar. If it weren't for the chip factory fire, the 74a would probably have been still in production today and for the next 5 years. Now they are the "Unicorn" radio that many operators want but can't obtain.
Do you know how to get the radio out of the mold? Word shows you the channel names rather than the frequencies?P I can’t figure it out even with the manual.
