Do you think that a monopod (Benro A48TD) + Induro hi-hat can work as a tripod with 5,5 kg (~7 kg with a monopod) of weight?(Lanparte V-mount Pinch with battery, Edelkrone FocusOne Follow Focus, mini DYI rig with handles, Canon 550d with Samyang 35mm and a field monitor on the Benro S8 fluid head.)
Hi. Informative video! Question? I go on safari often. And photograph wildlife. So I want to use the monopod with the feet UP or DOWN. When the feet are UP (retracted), I want a spike at the bottom. Don't have the time to unscrew feet (animal gone by then). The Benro VT2/VT3 appear to accommodate a spike when UP. If this is so, what is the female thread at the base, when folded, 1/4" or 3/8"? Thanks.
Was thinking the same thing about long exposure and interview style video, especially when filming solo and I want to sneak into the frame. So instead of the hi hat as a base, you'd simply suggest the sirui? I have a Manfrotto Mono. Sirui or the hi hat?

cause they arent paid too, hahaha its alll about the aff. link. IMO. But I fully agree, im deciding between the 2 and its a tough call. im curious if the Sirui will go down to the ground whn released on the foot/

+Kazanchev Yes, based off the testing that I did, It held my Black Magic cam with ease.

Sirui
Is the monopod attached to the high hat stable enough for long exposure photos? Would you say it’s an ideal setup for travel video/photography?
Ryuta Shimotomai yes it's definitely sturdy enough for video and long exposure photos.
Ryuta Shimotomai but the suri is also damn stable and has more features.

Capius1272 yea I'm really a fan of it
How easy is the Sirui monopod to tip over when extended?
+MakeSenseBoxing it's the best stability I've seen on the market
Can I put the sirui feet on a different monopod like a benro or a manfrotto?
Yes
why isn't anyone comparing the Sirui Monopod with the Ifootage one

Facts
Do the benro feet fit under the surui monopod when you remove the original feet?
You could do that but not sure why you would because the feet on the benro suck.
+FilmISH nl It can but you would need some kinda ball joint or head
Which one is better? Benro A2970F vs Fotopro MGA-684 vs Triopo GT-3230x8C. What head?
I can't say for sure I don't own any of the ones you mentioned. But, I know what i'm going to get from Benro products.
