You and Audrey are right though, not interrupting someone when they're speaking is a crucial part of conversational skills that's missing these days. Many interviewers would usually jump in and interrupt a lot of what Malala was saying but Trevor allowed her to speak openly and freely. Trevor is always a breath of fresh air.
he tried to insert a few jokes at the start but slowly it got more serious and i'm happy trevor didn't interfere when she talks. you know, to have more humour because some people do that.

I'm the same age as Malala, and I'm so in awe of all that she's accomplished. In the autumn, I'll start my master's on human security and refugee aid, and I would adore the opportunity to work with her in any capacity. She's so right about the need to focus on the voices of the refugees themselves, rather than having organizations speak for them.
Yeah. Whenever I encounter stories of these amazing people my age or younger, I can't help but feel a little down. But the truth is that that comes from a place of pride. It is essential to humble myself; rather, I choose to celebrate the hurdles Malala's overcome and learn from her accomplishments.
Every time she opens her mouth she says something completely inspiring and profound.

It really gives me hope to see Malala Yousafzai and Trevor Noah talking together. They both came from beginnings where their societies tried to keep them marginalized and silenced. She was targeted for being a girl with the audacity to want an education, he was a crime for being born. Seeing them together, and thinking about all they've accomplished as individuals, makes me genuinely believe that good can triumph over evil, cheesy as it sounds. God Bless the both of you for being such an uplifting inspiration to us all, especially in these unkind times.

Although aware of her story, I've never really listened to a decent interview before. I'm impressed, humbled and full of admiration in reasonably equal measures. Trevor also conducted this interview impeccably. A good dose of proper humanity after a crap day :)

Malala acted so professional during the whole interview, something you don't always see a lot in talk show interviews, especially with celebrities. She was so mature I honestly would have mistaken her for an adult teacher if I didn't know that she was only three years older than me.
First thing that came to my mind was “WOW”... She is so humble and doesn’t make the interview all about her... She also eloquently explains what are the challenges these refugee girls faced and why safe environment education is important... A well educated generation ensures a better future... I wouldn’t be surprised if she holds the highest position in a government one day... Truly a well deserved Nobel Prize winner... Love from Malaysia to Malala...

As an Indonesian American, I grew up learning to love and admire Malala who represents the struggle of woman and refugee girls around the world. Pray for the Rohingya in Burma and pray for all the millions of refugee girls who continue to live through obstacles in war torn countries. So humble, wise and kind.

Education = Freedom
FREE education and healthcare = freedom. You're not free if you're forced into crippling debt by getting that education or when you have to choose between paying rent/buying food or paying for life saving medicinal treatment.
If you want a difficult, but extremely important, documentary film then watch My Name Is Malala. It shows what an incredible young woman she really is and shows the work she does to make the world a better place rather than letting what happened to her make her too scared to do anything

I think many of us are. I know I am. Shes one of those people who make me realize I'm not radical enough in the way I challenge the status quo when the status quo harms vulnerable people.
Actually, no...the reason why the Taliban shot her in the first place was because they were pissed that a woman dared to preach about women being educated, which they are vehemently against. So, they wanted to silence her...either by death or by fear if she survived. The fact that she CONTINUED to preach that women get educated despite being shot as a way of being silenced is her claim to fame. Most people wouldn't want to be vocal about what they stand up for after enduring something so traumatic. I mean...look how most people are when they debate politics on Facebook or other message boards, and they stop doing so after a while because they can't stand the drama any more.
@chocobonita supporting education for all which can help so many people actualize their potential can actually in long run lead to revolutionary discoveries like finding cure for cancer. For such great outcomes, you must put in great efforts like this little girl did at such a tender age of 15.

I love this woman so much, she makes me feel intimidated and to peruse my goals and dreams.
She shouldn't call herself a victim... She's a Warrior, a Champion and a Heroine.
Those aren't mutually exclusive - she's a warrior, a champion, a heroine and a victim of violence.
One day she will say "survivor" instead of victim.
As a humble person I don't believe she'd say (or even think) of herself as a champion, warrior, or heroine. The true heroes rarely do.

I remember when all this happened to her, I remember being inspired by her, I remember thinking I could also make a difference yet nothing came of it. Now all that's left is to admire those brave enough to speak up brave enough to make a difference. I am not interesting enough to inspire people but I can help the one's doing the inspiring. So what I am saying is DONATE TO THE MISFORTUNATE.
Start by inspiring yourself. Find what inspires you and walk to the rhythm of that inspiration. An inspired life inspires those who witness it & out beyond your view. If you live your best life, those nearby become inspired and that's your own quiet greatness. When more of us do that, we contribute to transforming our planet, just as individual drops of water create a rainstorm.
As you can see you've inspired at least 30people to at least hit the "like" on your comment, lol. Just think about every one you talk to, people you say nothing more than hello to, you may never know how much you matter to them or how you've helped them to do great things too.

Those who post nasty comments about her looks must remember that she got shot in the head and she has significant nerve damage to her face due to which she can't fully control the muscles on one side of her face, and that does cause her face to look asymmetrical.
