So, today I ran my smart into the ground after 16 years, 140k miles!! Same engine same clutch, same exhaust! Was driving it last week and for a while it kept making a clunking sound... Thought nothing of it. So turned out when I took it for it's MOT the clunking sound was the passenger side wheel coming unattached!!! It failed emissions testing, it failed everything. The engine leaks a bit. A SURE Sign of the engine getting close to failing. ... It was a ticking time bomb but I never expected it to fail the MOT... It's always passed. It does have the most awesome alloys. Graphite. Oh but I will miss that car. Lots of happy memories. Prior to that I had fiats.They kept breaking down, clutch and radiators blew up on both fiats. Both with under 30,k on the clock as was rediculous paying out for so many fails . This little smart has been the most reliable car ever. I highly recommend them.

@@vladimirart758 it's an automated manual. it rarely fails, it does have some common minor problems but you can fix those at home
This is a good car to drive to high school every day. And really cheap too.

You can turn anywhere, park anywhere, very good consumption, taxes are 0, what can you want more from a car ? Want one that does 9 litres per 100 km? Go ahead. One that you cant turn or park only on large roads ? Good luck. I choose practical cars.

какой он шумный это капец, у нас классика так не шумит, а эта капсула как ведро с гайками xD
Если в этом велосипеде сделать шумку он станет вдвое тяжелее.
турбонаддув на таких. у меня литровый атмосферник гораздо тише, но жрет бензина больше.
Зато на нём никогда не захочется нарушать скоростной режим.

Well..I'm gonna guess this smart is having soon a broken engine. Just listen to it with a good headphone.
Personally I do like the 300c of that time but hell this Smart is not just ugly it also sucked as gasoline version.

Juha Nyman I have 0.8 cdi cabrio 2006 model. The car is awsome. 175000km with no problems
