    I bought one when they came out (it lives in the shop), and loved it so much that I recently bought another one for the house. I hope the high coaxial grip hand position becomes the new standard for power tool ergonomics.

      I agree! Milwaukee could have taken the easy route and just adapted this chuck system to the existing M12 drill but this is a step above. Thanks for watching!

    I got this and thought it would be okay for special uses. I LOVE IT. Now, this is the first tool I grab. I much prefer this to my m18 drill/drivers for 99.9% uses.

    Great review. I own it, its my go to for 80% of tasks. Im a retail Construction contractor and Hvac/R tech. Ive been a milwaukee Man for nearly 2 decades. This thing pays for itself in every offset and 90 deg situation that arrises.

      I can’t find any details online about this so I thought I’d ask this question of you because you own one. Can you hold the trigger on and switch between forward and reverse? I have an application where this would be needed, and normal slide switches require you to release the trigger to change direction.

    I am intrigued by this tool, but am wondering how much more beneficial this would be as compared to a right angle drill attachment that can be attached to any drill or impact driver. I mean, that would cost just a fraction of this tool.

    • @ProjectsForAllReviews
      @ProjectsForAllReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If all you need is right angles I’d say the drill would be sufficient. I really liked the offset adapter and I think I would use that more plus being able to combine the two. Comes down to your usage really. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    It’s a great tool for the shop or install work BUT the reverse switch is stupid. I only tolerate the forward reverse switch because it comes with 90 degree attachment. My go to is my M18 Fuel Impact Driver - I also don’t like the fact it does not stand up well. I don’t regret buying it - use it a lot.

    I just picked one up. I'm curious with your experience about how long the battery will last? I'm used to the m18 series I use for work. Obviously what you're doing is going to change how much juice it uses but about how long do you get between charges?

    Great review & info on this driver. Slightly jealous of the prices in the US, as always. I’m in Australia and will be paying over $500 for one of these. Admittedly, the only option we have is the kit with 2x batteries and charger.
    I work on electricity meters so carry 2x M12 drills with me in my kit (1 for drilling pilot holes & drill/taps plus 1 impact driver) this will definitely lighten my daily carry to & from each job. Also how strong is the magnet in that bit holder?

    • @ProjectsForAllReviews
      @ProjectsForAllReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Marcus! You sent me down a rabbit hole yesterday looking at the Australian economy! I didn’t know the exchange to the US dollar was 1.6 to 1. Even with the exchange and your corresponding “higher” wagers $500 for this is considerably more expensive than here. The magnet on the bit holder could be a more powerful. It holds 2 long bits but I had one fall off while i was messing around. Thanks for watching!

    Ya ... got it commin in the mail. I had just assumed that the only thing about it was the D- handle ... Wrong. Milwaukee, iv'e given up on everything else .... The Big M rules my toolbox now, I'm even starting to look at their clothing . LOOK, you have to choose one Platform --- unless you don't mind traveling with a bunch of different batteries and chargers .... I tell all my friends to go with Milwaukee !!

    • @ProjectsForAllReviews
      @ProjectsForAllReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s true if I traveled with my tools all day I would only have one brand. I chose Milwaukee 20 years ago because the contractor I worked for loved them. He used to say they were the only brand tools he didn’t have to replace regularly. I guess he did me a favor, I’ve had very few failures over that time. Just grabbed the M12 Toughshell jacket for work and it’s pretty sweet! Thanks for watching!

    My screed after three months….
    Clever, but crude. Low quality trigger response, somewhat on-off. The D handle with the tricky magnet gets in the way in tight quarters like, underneath a sink.
    Low quality drill chuck, large drills tend to slip. Worst of all is the infamous reverse. Whoever insisted this abomination true must’ve been pretty high up in the organization because it truly sucks. Milwaukee fan boys will say “Oh, it’s OK, I like it! Better in someways!“. But really, it’s just as bad as people say. Picture, you are under that aforementioned kitchen sink, using the drill to screw down the lugs that keep your sink in place. You pick up the drill, which has, of course fallen on its side because it doesn’t sit upright. And you realize you have to work with one hand to reach up in the space between the sink and the cabinet. Now you have to rearrange your grip on the drill handle to reach way up on the top of the drill to thumb the reverse or forward direction. Now then you remember , that because it is electronic, the only way to know which direction it’s going is by looking at the ridiculous little light on the top of the drill, right where you cannot possibly see it. Not only do you have to look at it, you actually have to pull your trigger to run the drill to make it light up. O my. Really, they’ve thrown away 30 years of the perfect reverse forward absolutely one-handed selection switches that we’ve seen on every single other drill in existence, for what? What is the upside?
    I will admit, that all those special attachments that beguile the user will be handy once in a great while. But for $19, you can buy a perfectly adequate Dewalt right angle drill attachment to put in your regular drill that takes up way less space and reaches in much further than the right angle attachment on this loser.
    For me in the end, the tricks are not worth the poor design choices.
    One thing it does have going for it, it’s cheap compared to the higher quality competition I thought of sending mine back, I wish I had. It’s irritating to use it every single time. .

    Hey Mike, I need to quit watching your channel. I end up spending money. All kidding aside, my Dewalt electric screwdriver finally died. Can't complain, 5 years of daily use. Great review, thank you. I have been on the fence between the Festool CXS and the Milwaukee. I have mostly Festool tools and love them all. I make all types of furniture and an installation driver would be helpful. I do have a 10 year old M12 driver that I love and since same battery and chargers will likely go with the Milwaukee. I live in the EU, the Milwaukee costs a bit more than the Festool.

    DONT BUY! NO IMPACT DRIVER SETTING!!!!
    You'll use 2 of the 4 chucks 98 percent of the time for most tradesmen.
    Buy the driver drill set. With the 90 degree adapter for 20 bucks. Same thing for the less money. And you have 2 drills.

    Bosch flexiclik is millions times better. This one has 2 major flaws , 1 the attachments do not have multiple positions, and the front handle/guard comes in the way.Try yourself.The way Bosch position changes is the attachments stay there, but you can twist by the release ring, and the attachments still in locked position.

    I just got the kit for $200 from the home Depot from their "super savings" deals which came with two 2Ah batteries, one 5Ah battery, a charger and a compartmentalized carrying case. Good deal considering that the batteries would cost more than the whole kit on their own

      I looked on the home Depot and it would cost $240 for the three batteries included with the kit alone. That kit is seriously a good deal. I can't believe it's only $200. Might as well buy the kit and sell the tool and batteries separately at market price to make a profit 😂
