- Ernie talks with director and screen writer Wes Anderson about how he creates the worlds his characters inhabit is such films as "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Moonrise Kingdom," & "The Grand Budapest Hotel."
Wes Anderson is my absolute favorite director. His movies are precise, exact, beautiful attention to detail. I hope to meet him someday. He's seriously a genius.
Fantastic questions from the interviewer
This might be the best Wes Anderson interview I've ever seen.
I absolutely adore this man. Wes Anderson sir, you are a treasure.
The perfect interview. Both are gentle, polite and respectful. Good questions, good answers.
the most normal dude on the planet making some of the most interesting films of the last 30 years
He is magic, feels crazy that we get to see these interviews 😍
I love his personality even more than his films.
He didn't stutter much in this one
Really enjoyed this interview, thank you so much!
ernie should teach the craft of taking an interview. he's really good.

The Critic and The Uncle Wes Anderson is one of my favorite FAVORITE directors
I love him
Wes Anderson so hot
!!
Has someone noticed The Society of Crossed Keys logo on the interviewer's suit
This is just the time when Wes would be preparing for The Grand Budapest Hotel
Maybe he took inspiration from here
does not look like 45 years old
Ernie Manouse sounds like Martin Scorsese
Watch and learn, Charlie Rose. Watch and learn.
He said all his movies are maid from scratch and are no adapted by anything but what about fantastic mr. Fox
fun fact! he actually wrote fantastic mr. fox under the pen name "roald dahl" #themoreyouknow :)
genio
Haha nice! n.n
The interviewer kind of reminds me of Derik Savage, if anyone knows what I’m talking about.
Even his coat is orange XD
how could you not mention the life aquatic? 😅
Me: Hey Ernie, are you a man or a mouse?
Ernie: ...
“Tannenbaums”
aye i see u with the pin xD
Subtitles
I don't understand a half of interview. Но я его черт возьми обажаю
great hairline
less than 10 seconds in and he uses an improper past tense of show
Adam Warlock ‘showed’ me a reason I give a fuck
you have shown me something interesting
"(My movies) are made from scratch - they're not adapted from anything." Bro your movies are made from everything. Moonrise Kingdom is at least 5% Pierrot le Fou.
Dumbass, he's a director. Every scene is original and made from his mind, are you this thick headed? Jesus
He means they're not literal adaptations from an entire piece of literature or movie. Of course he's influenced by other directors and writers that came before, who the fuck doesn't? That doesn't remove the originality and the fact that the stories he creates are made from scratch.
There is no such thing as an entirely original idea.
The best movie's period
We think a lot a like
