Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I'll be taking a break for a few weeks in order to spend some uninterrupted time with family. Back in early January! I hope you enjoy this one, folks. It was a devil to assemble... And a link to a story that is closely connected to this one: th-cam.com/video/Zj4f7URF5P0/w-d-xo.html All the best for now! Ian & Jen.
Good for you and don't hurry back and I mean that in nicest possible way. I think most of us people who so much enjoy this channel appreciate just how much bloody hard work and dedication it takes to produce it, take a break you've more than earned it.
Thank you Ian. I don't know how to express how much your work means to me, but I want you to at least know that I appreciate everything that you share. Thank you very much, Good Sir.
Ian I want to once again thank you for your personal stories. I love your channel to death and love your narration but your actual stories narrated by you are the cream of the crop. Your Van Melsen series is already a bonafide classic. When I see "by Ian Gordon" at the end of a title I get giddy. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and yours!
Wow, random bewitched reference. Totally forgot her cute little nose wiggling. Between that and I dream of Jeannie there were a statistically impossible collection of mediocre men with extremely attractive magical wives. 🤔talk about wish fulfillment 😁
Great stuff, Ian! Really loving the whole urban exploration angle and use of modern-day tech to document things both for listener and narrator. All funneled into something I didn't fully consider to be the actual outcome and am still pondering about the exact connections of what was real and what wasn't. My sincere thanks for this fantastic yarn - it really made my otherwise awful day.
Be well friend! Yes, i like these pieces where i have to listen a few times to pull it all together in my head. And how it connects to his other stories. I’d say my favorite of that type is his Lure of the Dreamscape Van Melsen story, which has such an intense concept.
I think you might be my most watched channel on TH-cam. I listen to you every day and have been for years. You have made my life so much more rich and I’m so thankful. I love all these stories and with Lovecraft being my favorite author, you’ve introduced me to so much more about him and other writers like him. Thank you!
‘Again I called down, “Warren, are you there?”, and in answer heard the thing which has brought this cloud over my mind…’ Keep up the good work and, as always, stay safe! Merry festive season and a Happy New Year ❤
Your Christmas stories are always a treat and I look forward to them every year! Absolutely loved this one, despite leaving us with so many unanswered questions, lol. Hope you guys had an excellent Christmas and enjoy your time off with family!
Finished it now. Wonderful mix of references, with an original plot. Might well become my favourite. The [redacted] accompanied by the haunting [redacted] will not leave me soon.
I'm a big fan of your original stories Ian! Great work and a really interesting and fascinating Tale. I love the Paranormal/science fiction/Government conspiracy angle! Great stuff Ian! Love the Dante tie in!
I heard this in really annoying circumstances, being serious insomnia, but under the circumstances, considering i would have much rather have been asleep, this was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much.
Never thought we'd be seeing liminal horror, but you nailed it! The sound design was absolutely terrifying. I had to turn on all the lights for the rest of the story because I didn't want to be _too_ immersed 😅 Hope you had a great Christmas, Ian and Jen!
Exquisite and gripping story, thank you Ian for this delicious Christmas treat! I’ll blame it on the eggnog, but initially I thought the antechamber with the table in the middle had 2 doors (vs. double door) so thought he stumbled on some kind of abandoned DMZ between earth and hell. I realized my error after his second visit and loved the story. But hmm 🤔 , that devilish DMZ narrative could be interesting in its own right.. 😂
My deepest apologies Warren. The Yule witches succeeding in stopping the resurrection and Yog-Sothoth has sealed the gate. Maybe next time the resurrection shall work.
A very nice Yule Tide, as HPL would say, and thanks for the hours of listening to intriguing stories I love so much. Merry Yule Tide, And the the best from across the North Sea.
Great story and narration! I really enjoy your "December 25th special". This is a good story with lots of details. I am on my third listen now. The "swimmin' with the piggies" song is awesome and hilarious. O catch myself chuckling every time I hear it! Thanks! Happy New Year to all!
Anyone watch/follow ' exploring with Joss' ? I presume he's an American but his was team in the uk. There was an 'abandoned' military base. Still heavily fenced off with the usual razor wire and do not trespass signs. However they had a lead and found a very narrow hole they could rope down into. ( outside of the prohibited area ). What follows is about 30 minutes of a caving video, and then they find fencing and one of those metal doors. Trying to push forward on this abandoned site suddenly triggers an alarm & flood lights. They left sharpish.
Hey Ian, wonderful BBC received pronunciation there as the newscaster🤗🤩 Almost flawless🙏 And in general - all your production values, stories, ideas....are just ever better and better 🤎 Great atmosphere and ideas. Love your work. Thank you🌺🌺🌺
There's an old adage that you should write about things you know and I've always like the way that Ian uses places that familiar to me a well, (Yorkshire, Manchester, The Moors and so on,) in his stories. It keeps them grounded and lends to them an additional authenticity and sense of eerie familiarity that I very much enjoy
Darn! I wish you'd uploaded it over 12 days. I always loved listening to an episode and looking forward to the next day. Getting it all in one go takes away that feeling. But I guess with the "I want it now" mentality nowadays I'm just old fashioned. Perhaps you could split it over 12 parts next time? Lying in bed I don't want to have to fiddle with my tablet to avoid the next chapter from continuing.
Excellent story and narration, sir, as unwaveringly usual. Would you consider cutting a record of your mellifluous voice as well? Swimming with the piggies may stay with me for awhile lol thank you and enjoy your family time!
Holy cow, Ian... I almost don't have the words for this one. It took me a couple of days to finish it, due to the fact I've fallen asleep to your stories for years it's hard to fight your soporific tones, haha... This was an absolute masterpiece. I have rarely been so scared. Hearing the animal snuffle of the creature... and when the music box started to play in the bedroom? My shivers got shivers. NEVER EVER STOP!! I'm spending my day off today going back through your originals playlist :)
This is really awesome, I've lately been studying dreams and analyzing my own. Last night I dreamed I was stabbed in the stomach about 20 times and spent the rest of the dream walking around dying in shock come on but that's one of the more tame dreams.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I'll be taking a break for a few weeks in order to spend some uninterrupted time with family. Back in early January! I hope you enjoy this one, folks. It was a devil to assemble...

Enjoy your time with HorrorBaby!
Enjoy your family time, you deserve a break !
Thank you for all of the stories this month. Enjoy your time with family.
Good for you and don't hurry back and I mean that in nicest possible way.

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS IAN. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
THANK YOU 🫵🥸✨️✨️✨️
You are the Saint of Stories, Ian. Never stop doing what you’re doing!
A greater Demon of stories is what I would go with.
lol couldn't have put it better!
So glad you are continuing this Christmas addition as it’s become part of mine.
Posting all at once, I feel spoiled!
Happy Christmas to you all
Thank you Ian.
I don't know how to express how much your work means to me, but I want you to at least know that I appreciate everything that you share.
Thank you very much, Good Sir.
nothing better than HorrorBabble for the holidays

It's HorrorBabble time!!
Chuck another Warren into that crypt
Make a prank phone call and let Randolph Carter know what you think of him!
Awesome thanks again Ian 😊
"You fool! Darren is wed!" Endora at Samantha's big day.
Wow, random bewitched reference. Totally forgot her cute little nose wiggling. Between that and I dream of Jeannie there were a statistically impossible collection of mediocre men with extremely attractive magical wives. 🤔talk about wish fulfillment 😁
@lightreign8021 I remember the raven haired Serena that stirred my prepubescent feelings. Wasn't there a similar opposite of Jeannie?
Boxing day weirdness, perfect.
Thank you!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Horrorbabble!
Awesome work Ian. Can't wait to dig into this story. Thank you.

Amazing once again!
And I must say, that opening tune is delightful
It's like a spooky version of "Do You See What I See"
Clockwork creepiness!
All the best Ian and Jen! Great show see ya next year!
Absolutely sublime! Thank you for the story and Merry Christmas to all!
Your Christmas stories are always a treat and I look forward to them every year! Absolutely loved this one, despite leaving us with so many unanswered questions, lol. Hope you guys had an excellent Christmas and enjoy your time off with family!
A late start for me, but I just finished making popcorn because I knew you'd be here!
A sincere appreciation for your stories!
Thanks for the good time and the great original storys.

Superb bit of storytelling!
Thank you 👍

Me too.
Fortunately our encouragement seems to have given Ian's talent roots now. I am confident the stories will keep coming.

I don't think that we can really take much if any of of the credit; mostly been down to sheer hard work, talent and determination.
Like button broke
Happy Holidays
Thank you Ian!❤ merry Christmas and a happy new year
I love this so much Ty! I listen to Horror Babble and knit and it is so therapeutic I love that this is your story! Simply amazing!
I heard this in really annoying circumstances, being serious insomnia, but under the circumstances, considering i would have much rather have been asleep, this was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much.
Merry Christmas, to you and your bacon! And thank you for the shoutout!
Swimmin with the piggies 🐖
I love these originals you do Ian. You're a fantastic writer and narrator. Especially great for when I want to relax after work.
Never thought we'd be seeing liminal horror, but you nailed it! The sound design was absolutely terrifying. I had to turn on all the lights for the rest of the story because I didn't want to be _too_ immersed 😅
Hope you had a great Christmas, Ian and Jen!
Thank you so much. I really enjoy your original work. Happy New Year to all.
Thank you for the original content!
Wonderful stuff Thank you Ian
Late Xmas gift!! Always love an Ian story :) Thanks buddy, happy holidays and happy new year!!!

What a scary idea...being trapped in a dream. I hate dreaming, and I dream all the time. Have a wonderful vacation. Thanks for all the videos.
This was great! Bit of everything rolled up in one!
Excellent story , thank you so much HB 🎉
What a great story and presentation. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the family.
My deepest apologies Warren. The Yule witches succeeding in stopping the resurrection and Yog-Sothoth has sealed the gate. Maybe next time the resurrection shall work.
We'll see about that.
A very nice Yule Tide, as HPL would say, and thanks for the hours of listening to intriguing stories I love so much. Merry Yule Tide, And the the best from across the North Sea.
Artwork is spot on as well!
Always enjoy your Xmas stories Ian👍

Excellent work as always. A fresh approach too
really enjoyed this. thank you. hope it plays into my dreams tonight
I was impatient for this year’s special ❤️
Merry christmas Ian an Jen . Enjoy your break, I love the Christmas specials
Warren will keep us amused as always 😂
Hmm. If that report on the tape was actually from the mid/late 70s, “the Austria-Germany border” would have been “the Austria-West Germany border”.
Your work is such a treasure to us! Thank you
And he's STILL GOING!!
Poor Warren
I’m late to the party on this one, Ian, but it was great fun all the same. Thank you for another awesome story for another Christmas season!

The Back Rooms.

Ian, this was great! Are we going to hear any more about this place in future stories??
THAT was fun ! Great Foley work too
Would make a great movie! Thank you Ian. Gave me a lot of inspiration for my dnd game.
Excellent - really hoping for a sequel of some kind one day 🤞
Hot s long drive this weekend. Will be listening to this then. Appreciate you.
Fabulous!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
My mushrooms and rosemary are enjoying this narration, thanks ian!
Oh boy what a ride
Thank you, sir.

Spooky looking place
Many thanks
Don't you even INSINUATE that we're done with you yet you old bastard. Keep bringing us books! ❤❤
Ian sounds like Alan Watts with that old school sounding recording
This reminds me of Michael Persinger’s “God Helmet” experiments on hallucinations caused by electromagnetic signals. LOL
Thoroughly enjoyed this, great tension, and very weird....
Excellent story and narration, sir, as unwaveringly usual. Would you consider cutting a record of your mellifluous voice as well? Swimming with the piggies may stay with me for awhile lol thank you and enjoy your family time!
Dang it, Warren owed me money!
Class action suit time. He owed me money too.
That was fascinating.
Ah dammit!
I fooooolishly forgot that Warren is dead again!!!
Holy cow, Ian... I almost don't have the words for this one. It took me a couple of days to finish it, due to the fact I've fallen asleep to your stories for years it's hard to fight your soporific tones, haha...

Dude that was awesome.
😻😻😻
your voices perfect for napping on a day off
Thanks to Shaun, Ian & Jennifer for a mysterious and dreamy(?) story. A belated Merry Christmas to all.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS IAN. THANK YOU
🫵🥸
Well done.
Excellent

Omg. My brothers name is James Leighton lol
The most mysterious, troubling thing about this story - What in the hell was James Mason doing making secret gov recordings in 1975??
I really dig the theme song - is it possible to get a download link or an upload of the full track? 🤞
Ooo one of Ian's!
"Will his thirst for adventure be his undoing?"
My guess is Yes
37:27 "...somethin' 'alf man, 'alf" BUISCUIT!
Sorry, one too many sherrys. Merry Christmas!
