I will contend to my dying days that once you have a oligopolies or monopolies take over a capitalist state, you are no longer in a capitalist state. To me, capitalism only works with small companies and farms and what not. The whole purpose of capitalism is to have competition but you don't have competitions once oligopolies or monopolies take over. What we have today isn't anything capitalism, what it is I'm not sure that there is a word for it. Ironically, it is similar towards what the USSR had or even what the old western nation had when they had monarchies (that is, a small amount of people controlling all profits and power).
