    Arequipa is a beautiful city and with 2000 Dollars a month you can live very well here, it is a city with good climate, quiet with good hospitals, which are private, I recommend that if you can invest and buy your own house or an apartment it would be better, and I recommend you learn Spanish, because many people speak English or other languages here, but it's only young people, people in general only speak Spanish, so I recommend you take a trip through Peru and come to Arequipa in winter to see if you like it, at night there are no temperatures below zero, but above 8°C when it's cold, normally it's 15°C at night and during the day until 3pm it's 24°C, in summer it rains a lot but the sun always comes out almost daily, we have in this city an average of 330 days of sunshine a year a spring city, and when there are hot days they do not exceed 28°C, Greetings from Arequipa.

    • @OUTBOUNDWITHRON
      @OUTBOUNDWITHRON  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Christopher, the short answer is yes. But of course it depends on your lifestyle preferences, how frugal you're willing to be, and what you're willing to give up and forego. I'm almost sure you can find expats who've moved to places like Arequipa who would tell you, yeah, and who might even say they're living there for less. And others I'm sure would say they tried but couldn't make it on $1,000 a month. So I'd say you know yourself best; and I'm sure you'd want to visit Arequipa if you haven't already in order to make a sound judgment on whether it would make sense for you budget-wise.
      If anyone else on here has first-hand experience with moving to Arequipa I welcome you to offer your thoughts.

      Hi there! I've been to Arequipa twice, each time arriving by bus (Peru Hop) from Lima, so I've not used Arequipa's airport. I can't imagine there not being wifi at the airport. If you don't find public bus service from the airport I'm sure you'll find that taxis are very inexpensive. I wouldn't encourage anyone to walk from the airport to the city's historic district.

      @OUTBOUNDWITHRON  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@tejave0ojnc You're wise to check out Peru Hop. In my opinion it's the most ideal way for independent travelers to travel in Peru on a budget. Lots of flexibility built into the way they operate, meaning you can get on and off wherever you please along the route plans they offer and stay as long or as little as you like. No matter how you slice it you with Peru Hop you have one or two overnight or all-day bus trips, including arrival into Arequipa coming from the direction of Lima. I devoted a video to the Peru Hop experience that you can find in the Peru Playlist on the channel. You might want to take a look. Let me know how it goes and hope you have a great trip!
