    This is exactly what I needed to see! This is how mine is rn and I've been "studying" TH-cam hair tutorials for probably 30+ hrs to determine what I need to do to get to where I wanna be! 🤔 Thanks for this video!

    Would be a great if you made a video just showing where your slices are for each balayage piece. Like I can see in the back you are kind of doing each slice staggered, like laying bricks, but I dont understand whats going on as you approach the front. The slice placement is super important otherwise you are going to end up with too much blonde in one area or too much brown in one area

    Don’t you find you get more lift with a Balyage when you wrap it in foil? I can not do open air I feel like it takes forever to lift. Or you are fine doing open air because you use such a high volume of developer?

    • @MrsJennifer4684
      @MrsJennifer4684 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They only used 20 volume in this video but the factors such as previously colored hair, coarser hair and darker hair the more resistance you will get when lifting and with the free hand applications you lose the incubation of foils. This model had naturally lighter hair and medium to fine texture so she lifted beautifully with 20 volume. 🙂

    • @MikeClimaco
      @MikeClimaco 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The model has caucasian hair which is thin and not dark unlike asian hair. It will lift easily even with open air balayage.

    • @KenraProfessional
      @KenraProfessional  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, in general you get more lift when wrapped in foil. We recommend you assess your clients in a case by case basis. Thank you!

  • @kjgault04

    How do you avoid your bleach from making bands? I use Wella bleach verses clay whitener. I also foliage.

    • @KenraProfessional
      @KenraProfessional  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi K! Banding usually occurs from previous color in the hair-- not the lightener per se. You would need to ensure that your client gives a complete and thorough color history to ensure you don't have any unexpected surprises come through. In the event that banding does occur, you can reapply with a higher volume of developer and watch closely until the desired lift/consistency has been achieved. Blonding Creme can also be used to help remove banding. We hope this helps!

    processing time of 45' after applying it to the last bit of hair?

    • @KenraProfessional
      @KenraProfessional  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! We recommend always watching and checking the integrity of the hair from time to time as it processes. If you are doing a lot of lightening in one session, you may need to towel blot/remove lightener on areas that are finished processing early. Also keep in mind that all hair can process slightly different from client to client; that's why we say "up to" in our lightener process timeframes. We hope this helps!
