@@DoctorYoun The only one I disagree with is a lip lift. Most of my friends that have done it are so happy with it. It makes you look more feminine and youthful.
Bella Hadid was already so pretty before the surgeries. I have a big nose and always thought I’d get my nose done when I became an adult. I’ve decided that plastic surgery is not for me unless it’s a real medical reason. I’m glad I never acted on that youthful desire of mine. I’m 37 now and think my nose fits my face better than when I was younger.
Just remember Jennifer Gray, and how she altered her nose and it absolutely ruined her career! You do not have to have the typical, straight, narrow nose like so many entertainers try to get! Having your own features to me, is always the best!
And I’ve seen AT LEAST 5 articles saying she has ‘the perfectly proportioned’ face. It’s sad. I’d prefer not to hear their BS. I’d prefer to have them list the plastic surgeon under pics of her face
Actually it's right that way. Would you say you are willing to take away human rights about their own body? It's like basic human right. But I know what you're saying.
Just wanna say Dr.Youn is one of those plastic surgeons who give realistic and professional advice as a teenager who needs information on the risks of having irreversible cosmetic procedures his video content is very informative for me and for a lot of young people who want to look like their favorite celebrities without considering the negative effects. I love that he's a doctor who would encourage keeping your natural face ''less is more'' when having work done if you are young and you don't actually need it. And by the way, I was born in 2003😂😁☺❤
I had a lip lift, and the scar is almost imperceptible. I owe it to a wonderful surgeon who only lifted the lip slightly, and healing well. The distance between the nose and top lip has been shortened slightly, and you can see a little more of my upper teeth when I speak, which looks great. I have seen disasters, though, where the upper lip is pulled up almost right under the nose, almost touching it. That puts a lot more tension on the incision, which, of course can leave a wider and more noticeable scar. Thank you, Doctor Youn, for always advising discretion and a clear understanding of the risks.
Like the buccal fat removal, upper lip lift should be done on the right person. I'm in my early 50's and I LOVE mine! Also, do your research on surgeons. They're not all created equal.👄☺
I am 71 and years ago I had a bit of filler put in my lips. Terrible experience because I could not say the letter p or b. I worked in an mechanical engineering office and had to deal with many engineers in car companies, really embarrassing not to be able to speak properly. 😁
i've always hated my buccal fat and when i found out you can remove it i was thinking about getting the procedure bc my face gets really fat and jowly in the lower cheek. when i was little i used to suck in my cheeks if i had to take photos. but when i found out they have to scrape the fat out from between the muscles *shudder* i gave up on that idea!
Yeah. The more you know.... I used to work in a medical library. I've seen many photos of how face lifts are done. Nuh-uh. Never. Nobody's ever going to do that to me.
You'll look prettier and sexier as you grow older. I used to have these fats that made me look very chubby which I wasn't. As we age we naturally have reduced fat on our face. So now I look way better and sharper as I'm aging. Like the doctor said, removing those tissues can make you prematurely aged.
Trends come and go! I’ve always loved the 50s trend of soft, round faces and makeup that accentuates it! Glad I have a rounder face rather than sunken in and contoured

Congrats. As always, a super sensible approach The whole idea of certain surgeries trending is inherently wrong. Plastic surgery should be something completely adapted to the pacient's unique features and needs, which is the opposite to "one fits all" trends. The same applies to beauty standards and body shapes
I have no idea why young girls in their late teens early twenties get plastic surgery like you're still growing into your face I feel like these girls will regret getting all that work done 20 years from now because they'll look cray cray
why cant people just live in the moment, if you want to do it and can afford it then do it. So what if they look different or have distorted tattoos in 20 years, thats 20 years away. What if something happened and they never got the thing they wanted and then go out and get in an accident and now cant and regret it.
ikr. I believe girls developes until 25😊 so getting something done at early 20’s?! 😮 I’d be like “she hasn’t even fully grown?!” 😢 How social media influences people nowadays 😓
I can understand plastic surgery for corrections, deformities and wanting a bit of a refresh. However, it’s pretty sad that young people want to change their appearance. Embrace your natural beauty and uniqueness.
It's the extreme version of it, like always! Balance and "average" is not true for everyone. I've known people, esp BIPOC, who have naturally larger upper lips.
I’m 63 and am considering and upper lip lift. I won’t do fillers for fear of reactions and overfilling (duck mouth) and, if the scar is visible, it can be concealed.

In my opinion if you are thinking of having cosmetic plastic surgery done, it is important to consult with a good plastic surgeon and not someone who is just in it for the money. I think that is the biggest challenge of all, as not every plastic surgeon is not as honest as Dr. Youn. He will tell the public, the negative aspects of a procedure, even though other plastic surgeons may be upset that he is telling the truth. I can't help but comment on the video with the women with the large lips. I watched her eat and she could hardly close her mouth. The only other time, I have witness that is people who have cerebral palsy with facial paralyze and they have a great deal of difficulty chewing their food. I am sure they would do anything, to look normal when they are eating.
There were a couple cases on the show botched where people had too much filler where it was starting to make the wet part of the lip inside dry out because they could not close properly or it could happen. One of the patients with this listened thank goodness.
My botox/juvaderm injector won't even let me do the lip flip since she says its a waste of money as it only lasts approximately 3 months and suggests getting filler instead. However I don't like that filler migration or duck lips look, so what would you suggest?
Hi doc! What would be an alternative for the fox eye lift? I'm on my mid 30s, and have hooded eyes but I know I'll get worse, as my grandma has to get a blepharoplasty when it was affecting her vision range and my mom will need it soon. Thanks!
I had vermilion border HA filler and it was barely noticeable once the swelling went down. It'd completely vanished after 8 weeks, total crap! Time for a rethink methinks!
The lip flip is great, but it only lasts for a couple of weeks. And from what I've heard, it wouldn't be safe to inject botox every two months for... years and years to come. I would do it, as it's relatively inexpensive and isn't invasive, but I was told by different doctors that it isn't a good idea.
I'm younger than 55, had a long philtrum, had a Lip lift with Dr. Mascaro, and there is no scar. I can't see it with 10x magnification. I do take really good care of my skin, wearing sunscreen getting laser treatments I think that helped, and the skill of the surgeon is critical. It's the only plastic surgery I've had on my face and It's really changed my face for the better, giving me a more youthful look.
Doc, I work in a nursing home. At my age I buy cream filled foundation and face balm. You know what I’m talking about. Bobbi Brown, it works for me. Jones Road. It makes my face so soft, and it’s a quick makeup. I work 7-3, no botox, no fillers, and it’s natural.
0:52 This actually looks like someone with lip fillers who JUST got permanent lipstick done (lipstick tattoo essentially) the tattooing obviously leaves the lips extra swollen
When it's obvious that someone has had work done, I feel that it ruins their looks. Overfilled faces, BBLs, and the upper lip lift look so fake. I'm with Dr.Youn about the upper lip lift being the worst plastic surgery trend. There is no way around it looking fake.
Hey doctor Youn, many people like my have lips that are approximately equally full rather than the 50% larger bottom lip you mentioned. Both are naturally beautiful
Maybe a better rule of thumb would be preserving the ratio that the person had originally will look most natural. Standardizing looks can risk removing the natural beauty of variation!
I’m 53 and I have very little wrinkles because I take my vitamins, I don’t smoke and I eat healthy. I cherish each wrinkle: they taught me life has a path and this path of mine will look good till I turn 100 in 2070
Thank you Dr youn your amazingly honest not like other Dr that just want to make money and don’t care how they destroy the faces and body of people that don’t know better.bless you and thank you again for your great advice ❤ much appreciated
ACCEPTANCE is a word deceptive to those of us who seldom venture beyond surface level.. but for the few courageous among us, it is also a 'key''- the very one that unlocks the endless doors throughout life or if more suitable it is also a ''bridge'' that links you to the next steps toward a particular freedom.. perhaps
I have a question about the thread lifts. What happens to all those threads? Do they absorb after a certain amount of time has passed, or do they remain; possibly causing scar tissue? If they remain, would the surgeon be running into them on future thread lifts?
Before those seemed to be mainstream things or even board certified techniques for those procedures, I had thought of the last two on my own, when I was very young and hyper aware of every single body flaw I had since I was the legit exact opposite of the blonde anorexic heroin chic of the mid to late 00s. I was thinking of ways to do the procedure on myself once I found some kind of numbing agent. Luckily I grew out of that shit before I got my hands on the lidocaine.
If I ever needed to get a plastic surgery, which would probably be a rhinoplasty imo, I’d go to Dr Youn. I feel like I could have a good and productive conversation with him as to how to improve my nose.
Maybe it's just my misophonia talking, but those overfilled lips coyly slurping and smacking elicits from me such a visceral revulsion...I cannot describe it.
I am recovering from a rhinoplasty and a lip lift. I haven't seen any type of permanent scarring so far is healing great. But I am worried about the scarring so I'm trying to take extra precautions to avoid the scarring.
The lip ratio 1:1.5 doesn' t necessary apply for african ethnicity. They can naturally have 1:1 or even 1.5 :1 (i.e.: Eamonn Walker, Boden from Chicago Fire). Just to clarify.
I'm 53 and have a little bit of Crows feet and frown lines but other than that I'm not old looking...I would never do any plastic surgery..I'd rather spend the money on something fun, like a vacation or buy a sports car I've always wanted...sad that people are all about their looks..when it's only what's in your heart that matters.. worship God not yourself!!
I always think it's weird when people spend their free time watch surgery videos, and then talk about how they're better than people who chose to do so. I thought being judgemental was supposed to be left to the god you're talking about.
Hello, thank you so much, for the such interesting and important content and sharing your knowledge. I like very much your channel. Could you please advice. What is the best options for treating and lifting jowls? And other treatment for wrinkles and cross feet around the eyes?Thank you in advance.
I really wanted an upper lip lift. I don’t have TikTok, so it had nothing to do with trends. I’m dark-skinned, but I do tend to scar very well. I have about 7 surgical scars, and they’ve all scarred nicely, but watch the upper lip be my limit. I didn’t realize how much my mouth dropped with age. It’s not bad yet, but I wanted to get ahead of it. My lips are already plump, so I wouldn’t want filler. I don’t know what to do now. 😢
Was that a Sheldon gasp? 3:39 Dr Youn is not only an amazing professional, he’s also the cutest man alive. He needs a People magazine cover! I want to squeeze him. I’m old too 😭
Thank you for your honest opinions, and explaining why you think so. So what is someone loses money? It is better to be known for integrity than your financial wealth in my opinion.
The buccal fat one is, I think, one of the worst I've seen. 20 somethings - look skeletal, and I hear the skin sags. They're gonna need filler to fix the damage.
I have a round face and got the buccal fat removal and my face still looks the same- although the jowls sort of stopped dropping and my lip corners are not that droopy either. But I really thought It would work and make my face narrow. I am so sad.
Would do a video about forehead surgery to make it smaller? We have here in Brasil, but I could never how the scar gets afterwards the surgery.. and I would love to do that cause my forehead is big and now I’m a candidate for blefaroplastic as well 😩
Omg! Be contented and happy of what you have than to destroy the natural given distinct beauty that God gave to you. We are all unique from our personality and beauty. Just be who you are because there’s nothing more beautiful than that.💕😊😊
Thank you for the advice Dr. Youn! If I would want to have a lip surgery, then I’d ask to do the Botox lip hack. I’m saying hack because I have no other words I can use.
there are procedures out there that make you look natural but with more enhanced features and i personally find those really pretty like cherry lips. HOWEVER just bc smth looks pretty on someone else doesn't mean it's suited for you. oversized lips on your paper thin ones can make your face look disproportionate and i really can't see the beauty in looking like a filler addict even if i force myself to. i mean it's your money you do you but just why go overboard like that
Could u maybe make a video about the Lip Flip? I’ve seen it a couple times now and is it something to consider if you don’t want a lip lift? Great Video as always greetings from Germany!
It’s definitely a safer option, but it doesn’t really work for a lot of people. It just kind of does nothing for many people. So sometimes it’s a waste of a few hundred bucks (which is better than other regrettable options!)
9:03 I already have a scar by my nose from a Dobermann-Pinscher's canine tooth that bit me in the face, so I might as well go through with the lip lift 😂

Same here, my top and bottom lip are the same size. I was starting to wonder if I'm abnormal! 🤣
Maybe a better rule of thumb would be preserving the ratio that the person had originally will look most natural. Standardizing looks can risk removing the natural beauty of variation!
I’m 53 and I have very little wrinkles because I take my vitamins, I don’t smoke and I eat healthy. I cherish each wrinkle: they taught me life has a path and this path of mine will look good till I turn 100 in 2070
What vitamins do you take
What kind of vitamins?
I love that you mentioned the bucal fat removal. I had no idea I was contouring like crazy trying to get my cheeks to look like bellas 😂.
😂😂😂😂
What do you think about Y lift?
Seeing some of these procedures is like watching a horror movie.
Maybe it's just my misophonia talking, but those overfilled lips coyly slurping and smacking elicits from me such a visceral revulsion...I cannot describe it.
Same 😅😅 Both with misophonia and the reaction
@@rexrad9735 umm I didn't watch I looked at the comments so you got me figured out wrong...move on Kevin
Hello, thank you so much, for the such interesting and important content and sharing your knowledge.
I like very much your channel. Could you please advice. What is the best options for treating and lifting jowls? And other treatment for wrinkles and cross feet around the eyes?Thank you in advance.
Please make a video or shorts about Silicone Anti-wrinkle patches! Do they actually work? I would love to hear your opinion
Get the lip lift thats your only choice
Was that a Sheldon gasp? 3:39 Dr Youn is not only an amazing professional, he’s also the cutest man alive. He needs a People magazine cover! I want to squeeze him. I’m old too 😭
I could never go for the 3rd one 💀
I already bite my cheeks on my potato face
If I ever had a thinner cheek I'd probably bite it off
So glad that I’m too poor for any of these procedures 🤗
Just be a natural beauty❤
Very cool paper you worte there. Enjoyed reading it!
Thanks Dr Youn - you always have the best advice!!!
I’ve been I’ll for awhile, my face is a little gaunt. I can’t understand why someone would pay to a scoop out their cheeks.
It gives them that used up drug addict look :(
I have keloid scarring (really bad) how can I get my eyes lifted with out cutting? Or what do u suggest.
Me too. It sucks....
I looooved and enjoyed this clip so much. More videos like this please!
What are your thought on filler migrating and staying in the body years longer then is supposed to
Thank you for being real, and authentic and a class act. What about veneers? I think they make people look older.
such a genuine good guy 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have a round face and got the buccal fat removal and my face still looks the same- although the jowls sort of stopped dropping and my lip corners are not that droopy either. But I really thought It would work and make my face narrow. I am so sad.
I love your videos so informative! Thank you 🙏
Thanks for keeping it honest.
Love to Dr Youn for his ghastly, but oh so wholesome somehow content. I love him. We all love him 💕 all we need is love. Love. 💗💕
Perfect blue color of the walls. What paint have you used?
Ikr? Lol
Where do the threads go after 8 mos. Do they remove them? Anybody???🤔
Dissolve maybe? 😮
Would do a video about forehead surgery to make it smaller?
We have here in Brasil, but I could never how the scar gets afterwards the surgery.. and I would love to do that cause my forehead is big and now I’m a candidate for blefaroplastic as well 😩
Thanks for this! I'm planning on a little lip filler but terrified of looking like a duck! So small amounts only.
For me, it takes about 2-4 weeks to look natural but lasts a year.
@@laurel1865 thanks! Did you use jevederm?
@@carolinemesel7439 I’ve used both juvederm and restylane.
@@laurel1865 thank you for letting me know!
tnx doc now I can decide properly to have a buccal fat removal coz I have a round face... ❤
Fillers, less is more.. oh yeah. And I imagine it's also good to correct asymmetry of the lips.
Thank you Dr. Youn for making ja aware about Do's and Don'ts about cosmetic surgery
3:36 What a beautiful baby!🥰
Hi Dr. Youn, I wonder if our jaw bone change shape over time or as we get older?
it does, and weight Gaine and loss changes the face as well. He analysis are not 100% accurate. He didnt mention weight loss/gain and or make up.
Love your videos, great advices and funny way to deliver, very pleasant personality is yours :-)
there are procedures out there that make you look natural but with more enhanced features and i personally find those really pretty like cherry lips.
Stay Puffed is cute though
I was so sad when they used fire on him and he made the sad face!! ☹️ Oh I wanted to cry!!
9:03 I already have a scar by my nose from a Dobermann-Pinscher's canine tooth that bit me in the face, so I might as well go through with the lip lift 😂
Dr.yuan what's your thoughts on retinol?
