I love how deep you go into each of these books❤ It’s very nice to listen to you❤

I know it's on the back of your copy but I do think it's best for We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves to go in blind, not knowing the twist as it's such an excellent shock moment when the blurb hasn't given it away and you're able to think back on all the hints the story has already given you about the truth which you didn't see. It's such a good book!

I 100% agree and shouldn’t have spoiled it lol! Best to go in blind.

We read the Karen joy Fowler for book club on release years ago and it came with envelopes not to open until a certain point.. I think the book works even better if you go in blind but maybe it's difficult to do this at this stage

Always so happy to see a new upload from you! I really want to get more into speculative fiction and sci-fi next year so you've convinced me to try The Mountian in the Sea! I love Robin Hobb too and really need to continue after the Farseer Trilogy.

I've just ordered the dawnhounds!! Some of these I have also loved - Ray Nyler, Robin Hobb, so so good! Have you tried Akardy Martine's A Memory Called Empire? It's space opera, hard sci-fi leaning but I honestly think it would be be right up your alley! It does some great things with the themes of memory and language interwoven with political culture.

I haven’t heard of A Memory Called Empire. I will check it out. Thank you :)
