As a teenager I lived in Amsterdam for a while, more lost then found and went to discover new music in my favourite recordstore. Pixies, Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley... Nowadays I don't listen to various artists anymore, don't ask me why. And then every once in a while I hear a song that knocks me over. This time it was Elegy from Leiff. The calm, the cool, the rawness, the beat...I drink it in, every second of the song. I discovered more songs and I'm blown away by this artist. I can't listen to something else. I hope so much he/they come to The Netherlands anytime soon.
in 2020 I had almost 70k minutes listened to and Leif was my most played artist, and Transatlantic Flight was my most played song... this version made it sound brand new! so so good!!
I love Leif's songwriting and his beautiful resonant guitar tones. I'll definitely go to his gigs or concerts if he has no plans to come to Korea one day. All the songs are gems from him but some of them especially make my eyes well up. *Don't Go to Klaksvik* always does that trick. Ah, Leif's live performance of 'Transatlantic Flight' blew my mind... Absolutely.
I like old strings too. Patrick Watson is incredible. You are opening for JVIII and I have been listening to Highway Woman Live on repeat for the last 72 hours.
Leif is such a great artist! I have been listening to some of his songs and I am really stunned by how good is life performance is! Can't wait to see your development and wish you all the best!
I don't think I've ever said "Holy Shit" out loud so many times watching a musical performance on TH-cam

Phenomenal. I must see this guy live. The real deal
I saw him live in San Francisco a couple months ago and was blown away. He’s the best performer I’ve ever seen live.
Seeing him in SF in March. To say I’m excited is a huge understatement
Love Leif. Just saw him in NYC. Always humble. Always over delivers. Always real.
Thank you
This man has been the soundtrack to so much of my life

And 'Transatlantic Flight' is transcendental, too. Amazing how Leif emerges from a deeply felt performance. Truly professional!
Wow! The voice, the guitar!

I love everything about this. The nicest guy in the world and an amazing vocalist and song writer.
Leif mentioning Tig is something I never thought I'd hear, but man oh man did I love it. Love this performance!

better than the record ...which I didn't think was possible
Beautiful melody! Vibing on this sound is a spiritual experience.
I adore Lief. I found Angie through their duet together and just drove 20 hour to hear her play.

keep getting more and more impressed, sold, taken in, slayed... merci bien mon ami de Montréal - keep on!
What a cool story at the beginning too about the work on those tapes. Wooooo Leifffff
a bit of Van Morrison strumming, also James Taylor "Fire & Rain" and a whole-lot-more of awesome you :)
Man, I'm pretty sure he's tuned to C - it sounds beautiful.
Leif. Instant fan. HOLY CRAP YOU HAVE SOUL, DUDE. Hoping we can meet down the road.
How is Leif so nice and humble while being such an incredible artist 🥹❤
Leif I love you. Saw you at cats cradle NC!

That Jeff Buckley-esque intro to Blood Brother was awesome.
great singer
Mister Bob Mallory, what mic are you using for the vocals? Great recording/mix...
7:28 "They're about to break they sound the best... just like people" 😂
If Jay Baruchel was a rock star in an alternative reality!
'Transatlantic Flight' raises memories of listening to 'Moments of Pleasure' by Kate Bush
❤️
Could someone please explain what they meant by "baking the tapes" ?
Hello, someone knows the tuning of this performance?
it’s standard tuning. chords look pretty simple. fmaj7, c, Dm and variations
@@seth5776 It is at least drop C
What tuning is that on the first song?
I know it's 7 months later.. but if you ever find out, let me know!
jk I figured it out. it's in B flat.
