I always enjoy the films that you and Richard put out together. Rennsport looks amazing! It must be so easy to overlook some of the cars due to the massive amount of machinery to try and absorb.
Thanks for the awesome vid JS, the drone shots at the start were amazing also brilliant to see Sniff in the vid plus I wish you back good mental health day. 👍
I loved the way the two pit lane walkers at 11.28 clocked Jonny and it visibly made their day. When asked at the end what they thought of all the Porsche’, they replied “they were ok, but we saw Jonny Smith”
Thanks for the awesome video! I was fortunate enough to be able to be present at Rennsport this year, and I think you did a great job of helping to convey the slack-jawed wonder that results from walking that paddock.
This is absolute heaven. I used to have a 76' 914/4 2.0 when I lived in Mich. I have a uncle in California with a early 70's 911 SC targa. Thankfully I got to ride in it as a teenager. I'm so obsessed with Porsche that I know every car shown here. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you see Jay Leno wandering around here. Thank you.
Just a point of correction: Rennsport Reunion is normally every 3 years. Last one was 2018; this one was delayed due to COVID. Had to miss this one. Thank you so much for the video! Cheers!
I was there with a mate (world tour from Australia via Stuttgart, autobahn action in a 992 Turbo and driving a GT4 at the Ring, and through the US, finishing up in Monterey for RR7). Thanks for making this video so we could relive this incredible event. In some ways the carparks were almost as good as the pits! However I am concered about Jonny who I understanding is suffering from two detached retinas. This could be the only rational explanation for him suggesting a Carrera GT is ugly. Good luck with the surgery and your recovery Jonny!
I'm just getting into the video and hearing that someone is restomodding 1 of 292, 959's, is grinding my car guy gears. Bruce, make your own. You have the technology and know how... don't mess with an icon, dude. Now back to enjoying these two awesome guys talk about awesome cars... These two together are hilarious and know their stuff! ✌️
I was there on the wet, wet Saturday and it was still a life-changing experience. Welcome, Jonny, to the cult of Porsche with you new-to-your Boxster. It is SO MUCH FUN!
Great to watch this over and remind myself what a great event it was. Flew over from Australia for it and still haven't ploughed through the several hundred photos I took.
Jonny , the 550‘Speedster you saw was a 356B Convertible or Convertible Spider transformed into a racing version. For original cars freaks this is a torment because some cars loose so much of their original character
@@TheLateBrakeShow it happens! I can't imagine how overwhelming that show must have been and you guys recall some pretty arcane facts out of nowhere. Thanks for sharing for everyone that couldn't be there. 😄

Thanks again for this showcase of all these Porsches and sorry I was completely mistaken!
Finally got a chance to watch this. Great to finally see Rich on the channel, thoroughly enjoyed the walkaround. Never seen so many bloody Porsches! Absolute filth. #OTSOT
Thanks for the beautiful video and the love for the 914s. I grew up in Toronto, Canada, and was in high school in the late 1970s. The 914 was the exotic car you saw on the streets. They were all falling apart and rusted out, but I was drawn to each one I saw. By the 80s, they were all gone.
I’ve got a photo that I took in Angoulême a few years ago of Derek Bell driving a 1920s Speed Six Bentley towing a 962. He had towed it all the way from the U.K.
Nice to see the dream team back in front of the camera again! There was so much to take in at this event I can't help but think you could have done with a second camera operator just for cutaways
Being a Porsche nerd, this really floats my boat. I’d love to go to this. If I could just stroll around there with these two, that would be even better. Great video!
Well done on the video guys. I'd forgotten that Richard is a total car trivia nerd (even though he reminds us that he's written books on it every week).
I enjoyed the smith and sniff episode on Rennspaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuutttttttaaaahhhhh so loved seeing the video too. It would be good to see Jonny and Richard doing more events etc together on that side of things.
Got a big smile at 17:37, I worked with flying lizard from almost the beginning of the team, after management I was employee #3. Such an experience working on a team from the beginning to becoming a factory team and winning championships. I feel so fortunate I was in the right place at the right time.
Amazing event.Glad you touched on the lack of driver protection at the front of the 917;it was your feet that took the impact in the accident which David Piper unfortunately discovered during the making of MacQueens' Le Mans movie.
Always good to see you two together, this is a long way from Field of Dreams! Dont suppose there were any 928's? The only Porsche i can see myself driving. Cheers guys.
There would have been a few I imagine, but they are still unfortunately overshadowed and pushed out by other more recognised models. Especially at a motorsports event.
Dear BBC, before you kill off Top Gear, please contact these two about hosting a refreshed, renewed, redesigned version. Many thanks, the viewing public.
I absolutely love listening to you 2 talk about cars, the geeky details, the delight of 2 genuine and knowledgeable car enthusiasts in a place they clearly are absolutely loving. The Porsche tractors are produced by Allgaier Company and this company used a Porsche patent for the four-wheel drive system I believe it was an Austrian Company…

A LOT of drool-worthy machinery there. Guys, guys, thanks for sharing. A surprising number of Daihatsu Hijets there. What are the slab trucks for, apart from bruising shins? (Two more from them later)

Love a long form vid with yourself and sniff. I could walk around a multi storey car park all day with you both, except maybe at Luton Airport...
The 944 you pointed out at 12:25 is a 924 Carrera GTR -- a full race spec model, the highest trim ever of 924 and one of only a handful ever made.
