Then then two weeks later after never getting a confirmation, or denial of a loan my identity was compromised. BS! Im 33 years old and have filled out, got approved and denied for plenty of items in my day, and with every one you get a confirmation of some sort.
And the thief goes, this thing too ugly, who's gonna come looking for this, let's go for it.

I was sold by the Honda engine even before I saw the rest of it. They don’t make a super reliable utility bike anymore. 😎

Aside from the ugly bike, I love this channel! It really brought a smile to my face to see you provide the most basic of necessities to random people on the streets without discrimination. Showing kindness to your fellow human without provocation is a great way to spread goodwill and often similar behaviors out of those who receive your gift. Great job man!

How do you know your getting old? When someone says Cushman and you remember the name and are surprised to know they were out of business.
I live three blocks from the former factory its now part of the campus. There was such an outrage when UNL said they were going to tear down the factory they ended up saving it.

That's actually kind of evocative of the original Cushman Eagle. We called them Shriner bikes, because a lot of Shriners rode them in parades. Fun fact - the brakes, in my opinion, were purely cosmetic. Oh, sure, Cushman claimed they were brakes, but they produced absolutely zero negative acceleration, which I discovered about 1.8 seconds before I rode my friend's Eagle straight through his mom's rose hedge. Much bleeding ensued.

I think it’s cool as a utility bike, it would be really good to use on the winding mountain roads and gravel roads, but a brand new one without the good motor is $6k which is outrageously expensive

Definition of a mini bike is a bit subjective, personally I think I Mini bike needs to have an agricultural motor(briggs and stratton/predator) and be automatic
AJ Any and all mini bikes either have a slip clutch or a torque converter, which just makes it one variable gear ratio, not automatic
I actually kinda like it,it looks like it's pretty good for commuting around town,and if it has a manual transmission it would probably be a decent beginner bike.

I've always loved the Cushman. Although this one isn't the "real deal" it's still a cool little bike. Good score!

I thought it was a 400 ex motor but it was a trx 400 I was dang close.
One person's ugly is another person's quirky. I love it! Then again, I'm not a motorcycle guy, but I love scooters! I'd scoop it up in a heartbeat, especially with that Honda engine.
My family had Cushman scooters and one Eagle Cushman that actually was a very good motorcycle except for too small of tires. We used the Cushmans for to and from work via back country roads since they were not really great on high speed highways. Backroads and fields were fine and around town not exceeding 35 or so MPH. The Eagle handled slightly more than 60MPH but the small tires made that dangerous on potholes and living in NY we have lots of them. Memories are fun but safety comes first.

Hahahaha A Cushman Super Eagle was my first motorcycle or what it amounts to lol. Late 50's and had a lot of fun with it. The 50's or late 40's had 9 hp would get up to around 50 MPH. It lived in Alaska for a long time.....

Reminds me of the home made bike my machinist step father build and we learned to ride on. Bullet proof, made for hours and hours of fun, it’s already ugly, you don’t have to worry about the kids damaging it!

@@memyname1771 , 1965 was the last year Cushman manufactured scooters, although a few '65s were passed off as '66 models. K-Jack now produces a modernized version if the old pre-1956 Cushman scooters which are far superior to the originals. I bought this scooter after crashing my 2003 Goldwing last year. Getting too old to ride big bikes now, besides, the Cushman is more fun to ride around town.

@@JC-ck4wk Hey Now! My first 2 2 wheeled vehicles were Cushmans. A 5 horsepower and a 9 horsepower. They may be ugly in some people's eyes but they sure beat walking .
My 1st bike at 13 in '71 was a Cushman Eagle. Good times, good memories my friend!
I grew up riding Cushmans in the mid 60's. Then Hondas and Yamahas came to the US. But my Dad the WWII Vet refused to buy any Japanese made products. (He changed his mind in the 70's) But he had spent some time in Italy and fell in love with the Piaggio and later the Lambrettas. So we switched to Lambrettas. I had a 150 cc Lambretta that could flat up and leave all the "Cool Guys" rinding their Honda Super 90's to school.
I ride all kinds of motorcycles now, but still have a soft spot for the Cushmans. That 400cc Honda conversion is a work of art. Think of it as a TEOTWAWKI machine!

Yes, the world deserves and needs him. There are many people like him, you just don't know them or they don't make themselves public.
The frame looks similar to the old Mustang. It had a 318cc single that looked like a Cushman engine. The 4 speed gearbox was separate and ran by chain from the clutch.
Pretty cool! It reminds me of my 2006 Honda Big Ruckus! Very utilitarian.
The traffic cops in NYC used to ride around in those old 3- wheeled Cushman's handing out parking tickets back in the day.
I'll be honest... I actually kinda love that thing. Of course it looks weird.. and different.. but not too bad. definitely something I'd ride anyway, just for the fun of it.

Yes I think that was the plan with the bike and it never got there quite, I think just beef up the suspension a tad with slightly bigger spring sets that would not look out of place on the vehicle.
It really looks like decent bike. Probably one of the best commuters you can get.

That is one of the most reliable pit bikes ever made. You can take it camping and haul a trailer behind it with your gear. That's a cool little machine for the right person like with property or a farm. That will sell my friend.
