Today we discovered the beautiful hilltop town of Motovun as we made our way to Rovinj. We love the region of Istria, there's so much to discover in such a small area. Istria is full of beauty, truffles, good wine and stunning landscapes!

Tip for truffle hunters...
Near to Motovun (about 1km away) is village Livade (visible at 05:28) and that is the place where they found bigest truffle in the world.
Also in October and November there is presentation/licitation/degustation of all products of Istria including truffles.
I live in Kanfanar in Istria, but go to school in Rovinj. Rovinj is a beautiful place in Istria I gope you to go there
Wow Motovun we just went two days ago such a beautiful and magical place. We will be in Croatia to mid August it will be nice if we could meet you guys before we go back to Florida. My wife really likes having coffee in cafes.

Motovun je definitivno zanimljiv, ima odičan vidikovac i srednjovijekovne zgrade. ... Što se Rovinja tiče, morate probat šetnicu uz more koja ide do Kampa Polari. Predivna šetnica uz more :)

Love your videos. They are about traveling and kids enjoying the world. Compared to other videos especially for kids they are just made to monopolize on selling toys and some created story that give no view into the beautiful world we live in.

After WW2, there was an exchange of people and territory between Italy, and Yugoslavia, sometimes voluntary, sometimes less than voluntary, if you follow my train of thought.
Andretti family decided that it would be better if they moved to Italy, and from there they made it to USA.
Yeah, so Mario was born in Motovun.
If it hadn't been for the Americans, Italy and Yugoslavia would have come to blows over land and territories.
"Smarten up, both of you. Haven't you had enough?", said the Americans to Tito and to the Italians.
Dad was sent to Istria by the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), as a very young man, for a couple of years in late 1940's in preparation for a war with Italy.
Nobody knew where he was, he couldn't tell his parents.
Fortunately, nothing stupid happened.

Motovun is again another heaven, worth to visit! What a lovely town, fell in love with it after the first glance. 😊 In terms of truffles everywhere....do they have truffels toothpaste? 😂

Everything right, but thats Istria, don't mix it with Croatia...
The worst thing to say is that Istria is Croatia, Slovenia or Italy, putting it inside national borders is like not telling the whole story, Istria is just Istria, it has its own flag, culture, way of living, for many people its dialect its a language, we speak Istrian not croatian..
And I'm guessing you get your paychecks, health insurance, education/scholarships, rights, infrastructure, economy from "Istra" not the Republic of Croatia? Don't embarrass yourself.
