Apollo is not skipping a beat!😂 9 years old Wow! Thank you for showing him to us. Glad the recovery from surgery is going super! Have a great week Sheriff.
71+ year old FUD here. Hey Sheriff! Glad to hear you’re doing well. I have missed your videos but I definitely understand. I guess it’s just coincidence that I am 20 weeks past my second hip replacement surgery in less than a year. Before my first (right) hip replacement I could still walk but was in severe pain. I didn’t realize that arthritis had done snuck up on me. I’ve had several surgeries during my lifetime so I knew about post surgical pain from the days when surgical techniques, especially with the robotic assisted surgeries were not nearly as advanced as today. BUT, I was still scared because the hip replacement was much more complicated than other surgeries I had over the first 60 years or so over my life. It doesn’t sound too bad when someone says I’m going to have a hip replacement surgery but when you find out they’re going to make a long incision and dissect your thigh muscles, then saw off the head of your femur, grind out the hip socket with a Dremel tool, drive a tapered spike with a ball on the end of it into that femur and screw a plastic socket as a receiver into the old bone before putting you back together it gives one pause to think. Finally pain overcame fear. Without the two new hips I have now I probably would have ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I still have low back pain because of spinal stenosis and multiple bulged disks starting at L1 going all the way down but medications and some epidural injections have helped a lot with that, so Im avoiding back surgery for now. I still have nerve pain, more from the first surgery, but it is gradually subsiding. Neighbors are custom planting and harvesting for me because climbing up the ladder to tractors and combines is still difficult for me. I just write checks to the CO-OP for fertilizer and chemical applications.😢 Regarding your fear of twisting your upper body. Also coincidentally, unfortunately I am now having to go back to physical therapy because of pain I’m having along side my spine and under my shoulder blade that may be caused by a tear in rib muscles or ligaments. My PT thinks it’s rib related. In any event, check with your physical therapist. If you don’t work to loosen and strengthen the upper thorax muscle structure you will keep loosing flexibility. P.S. i watched your episode on sighting in your varmint rifle. My varmint rifles are my old all original Colt AR-15 Light Sporter complete with the receiver marked “Restricted. Law Enforcement Military Export Only. It shows its age like me!😂 My other is a 1951 Savage Model 99 in 250-3000. I look forward to both your continued healthy recovery and shooting videos!😊
I've had two back surgeries, one in 2005, the best thing I've ever done. My second was after being re-ended by a tractor trailer. Both saved my quality of life. In a year, you will be so glad you did it. Nerve pain takes a long time to heal. I pray that your recovery continues.
@@AMXSShirt Great place for breakfast. I hit Stacey's quite often for coffee with the old guys that are there every morning. Big table in the front room corner - I call it the "Old Ba$tard's section".........
Glad to hear things are going well.👊 Good idea easing back into things though, I have heard the same of folks that rush back into life after surgery.🤷♂
Thanks for the update! Praying for you and full healing in Jesus name! ✝️🙏 I received a miracle in my back and love praying for others for the same blessings! New learner to all things guns to protect myself as a woman! God bless you!
Lol...yep...as a fellow "back surgery survivor" I know it was a long time before I wasn't expecting a spasm to hit. Also as far as those damn Malinois go I often helped my buddy work his K9 until his shepard retired. When he decided he needed a "biter" then I retired.
@stevenparsons4464 I did PT for 8 weeks. I still do stretches and a few core building exercises every morning, but short of that - I just keep moving. It's a large "kong" with a piece of boat anchor line run thru the hole and knotted on each end. One of the few things he can't tear up.
Whoooooo!! 2 back surgeries and 2 neck surgeries. I couldn't wear a duty belt or body armor. Sometimes, I goung to the refrigerator start to open it, and my back says, nope. Then I'm not doing anything for a few days.
So glad you are doing well. I myself went through surgeries for kyphois curvature of the spine. Have you had a chance to shoot your marlin 1894? I was just wondering how you like it now. 🇺🇸
@mikebailey2119 i haven't done much shooting at all. Had to get back to work and catch up on 4 weeks of being down. Of course now it's pretty cold, and one thing I've found - the hardware they put in lets me know when it's cold or rain is eminent.......LOL
So glad of your recovery, and Apollo, as always, is stellar
Thanks for the update, nursing back issues myself, awaiting an appointment with a neurosurgeon. Glad that you are haveing a great outcome.
Thanks for the update, I am sure that we all appreciate it. Fun watching you working out with Apollo . Good boyeee.

Also thanks for updating us I was wondering about you the other day and then you posted several videos. Thank you for being an inspiration to me.

Sounds like things went well. Good to hear. God is good!
Glad your doing well. Enjoyed a nice day in Mexico recently. Had VA appointment, went to Grafs and had breakfast at Stacey’s. That was some good grub.

Losing four months to get to get back to a normal (police) life doesn't sound like a big loss.
Love the dog's energy!
@@Mrelindio42 in the grand scheme of things, it's not, but it sure seemed like an eternity to me

Our man Apollo moves great for an old semi retired guy!
