You got it. They said the mv was inspired by Squid game and Battle royale. And the members said that this is their hardest choreo so far. Half way of their promotion and they still can't get used to it. They are always out of breath by the end of every perfomance. And they did all this in just almost 3 months after Thrill Ride. Them so good boyz.
This!!! Omg I was watching chanhee during the live stages and was amazed at how well he was doing!!! He’s improved so much! And Kevin too!!! I hope they aren’t always kept at the very back anymore - especially now that younghoon was towards the front for pretty much all of this comeback

Yes Battle Royale and Squid Game inspired. I love this track so much, it just has a really epic feel to it, the styling is fab, and the choreo is amazing! The "Protect yourself from what you want", I like your take on it, for me I took it as a "Be careful what you wish for" kind of thing. In the MV Eric is the winner (they decided who would survive the MV by playing games themselves and Eric won). As far as I know the idea is that Eric survives by hiding until everyone else is dead. Everyone else is shown in the MV teaming up to fight together, fighting eachother, or actively participating in the game, but Eric is only ever shown by himself and never actively participating in the game. Also Battle Royale is 21 years old, a fact that aged me, because I distinctly remember watching it when it was still pretty new. 😂😭

I'm not a deobi (yet?) but I can NOT get this song and choreo out of my head! I discovered them in Kingdom and have only heard a couple Boyz songs before this but Maverick feels like a LEVEL UP! It goes so hard, switches up, and that "toof toof" kinda move where Juyeon / one other person but I don't know which one, but they like shoot two bullets or something omg it's one of the most satisfying moves I've ever seen. Specifically Juyeon's version of the move but he might be my bias so I was extremely attacked. >_>
