hey guys! sorry the audio lags behind on the footage. I recently changed my camera settings for my trip and forgot to change some back. the frame rates are different which caused the lag. I only synced the audio/video in the beginning which if the frame rates are the same then it would be fine for the rest of it, but since they are different, its synced in the beginning and then lags behind later. I dont wanna re-edit and reupload as im already so behind on this so ill just be more mindful next time!

To enlighten you, MAMA 2021 nominees were based on the records and digital song released on Oct29,2020-Oct31,2021. Sadly, Maverick was released this November. Maybe ‘Maverick’ will be qualified next year especially they won a lot of 1st in music shows.

The song and choreo hits so hard!! I didn't really vibe with it at first, but it has really grown on me. And the acting in the MV is superb!!

I'm mad at the boyz they literally have no reason to be this perfect? They raised my standards so high in dancing I can't watch other kpop groups dancing with the same way I used to before I keep on judging please :'(

AHHH I was sooo waiting for your reaction to this! (Although I understand that you’ve been traveling😅). I totally agree with you about this being such a different sound from The Boyz, the whole rapper and vocal duo plus the high notes were extremely catching. And when you said that they gave “dance crew” vibes, I was like YES!👏🏼 I know The Boyz are top notch performers and dancers but there was something very “together” about this choreography and how much energy they put into doing it. Great analysis as usual Jeff!

The concept is like battle royale. Battle royale is a japanese movie in 2000, it is about a students who are force to participate a survival game where only one survive like in the maverick mv where eric is the winner. The necklace thingy is like a gadget that will explode when you forcefully remove it or escape from the game. Battle royale is actually a great movie for me and better than squid game in my opinion.
Jacob's dancing has improved so much since his debut! It's crazy to think about how he almost quit being a trainee just because he couldn't dance.

Personally the dance in this song is my fav of the boyz. And eventho the song sounds so powerful and the chorus isn't melodical and full of singing, but THIS IS SO ADDICTIVE
so, Im an exo-L who recognize and decided to stan the boyz as the second group after watching RTK
and what's made me more happy is EXO and The Boyz had the same dance teacher also choreographer for most of their song
