Monkey is so strong that it's ridiculous. Whenever I see some dude rocking out the 23/23 fish at the start I also immediatly notice the stupid monkey throwing bananas at the damn fish.
I feel a nerf coming for monkey.
Yeah its so strong that its almost always worth it to just run two lvl 1 monkeys until you find level 2, i guess the buff could be nerfed in trade off for some base stats

@@turtley8581 because they made it a tier 5 when it was a tier 4 before. The devs probably tought that it would end up being too weak of they just made it tier 5 without any advantages.

My latest delight is running 4 scorpions with mushroom and a honeybadger and see teams with 4 50/50s crumble, unfortunately you loose to turkeys tho or cracked snipers

@@eggegg6448 Mushroom scorpion is a 1/1 that summons a scorpion with poison, so the first scorpion pops melon armor then the summoned scorpion trades with the 50/50

Just got my first flawless run in SAP. It was like the game just wanted me to win cuz I got an early penguin and then a monkey and I was scaling like crazy. Had a 50/50 mosquito at turn 11 and it was single-handedly destroying whole teams

To be fair, I have been getting a ton of shit shops lately too. I just don't see how other people are able to consistently get giant pets with insane toughness right around round 6.
Are they stacking otters on one unit or something? I encounter teams with stats I can't comprehend pretty early. They often don't even have a scaling unit.
I like to play in versus but the player that afk is outrageous
@@tobyvision I tend to get pretty consistent 10 wins and what I do is is roll for otters onto a ant, mosquito or fish early game and try find either a monkey or penguin ASAP. A bison is always the initial goal for me but if I don’t get a level 3 unit in time I usually pivot onto a parrot build or a strong snipe (such as a croc)
@@willmacgowan465 That sounds real familiar to me, but I think I need to respect the otter even more. I also put too much value on having a full squad early.
I will also admit to a harmful food build addiction. 90% of the time, it works 5% of the time. But oh when it does.
@@willmacgowan465 I've pretty recently been getting more accustomed to the new meta and I have to say this strategy is pretty much what I use. I will add that skunk is also very useful in the new meta as it hard counters monkeys. Also an early worm can get you a second huge unit real fast if you're worried about skunks.
Edit: Turn 3 giraffe is also good, as long as you don't hold onto it for longer than you should

I’m FluffiestPuppies! I can’t believe I’m in the video, I did not get 10 wins that round. Popped my Peacock that round and had a giant blowfish cooking in the bacta but just got overrun with fire power
the last game is amazing to see a man pivot faster than the flash. you look away for one second and the man is another a completely new build he cannot be stopped and he cannot be contained.
The bacta snail at the end just proves how much influence this man has

Keep up the great content! I feel I must say I got a win with the Sloth last night and I'm very proud of that. Got the win before Ludwig did so that's a W in my book
the frigid and dusty winds of the Believer Drought have raged for days, no end in sight.
I think what he fails to realize is that if he wants dubs he doesn’t have the luxury or not playing strong strategies. Like naturally most wins will be meta since probability wise meta is just the easiest/most effective strategy to get going. If you get lucky enough to find the minimum tools for an interesting build by all means go for it but there’s no point in forcing things imo. Of course this is all in the context that NL is trying his hardest to win obviously he is bantering during all this so there’s no sweat in the end.
EDIT: This doesn’t mean I ever condoned Rooster/Dodo meta in the previous era that was truly evil
Nl you are undrestinating the power of stats in early game, at lvl2 shop there are so few animals to choose from. Just buy one or two apples instead of rolling 3 times and freezing honey
In general a bee is better than an apple cause both are 1/1 except the bee can remain to win after a trade,but to be fair theres a health threshold that makes a big difference in trading units too so its not a rule
Just as an experiment I stacked otter buffs on a single fish the other day. Won the first four rounds with two units. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Eventually crumbled to kangaroo tech, but that's show biz.
@@tobyvision otter is goated when you hit units that you wanna keep a while. I also think freezing pills for flamingos is underrated especially with ox, usually you wanna keep one slot flexible anyways and shops can get unlucky for leveling.
Also im not shy to level a spider to 2 and pill it you can get lvl 2 dogs, kangaroos etc. and worse case a summon trigger and 2 gold back :D
@@osgrace3341 I pill flamingos all the time. Probably too much. But I have never considered pilling a level 2 spider. I am anti-summon usually, but I've got to try that.

I just got the ribbon for the Chick, which leaves me with only Boar, Bus, Dragon, Ram, Whale, and Zombie Cricket to get ribbons for. Only 6 animals until I have the ribbon on all 59 F2P animals.

@@EsotericCat no, there isn’t. People have gotten level 3 wins with sloths and it isn’t in the game. Teamwood hasn’t added it yet.

Selling the monkey over rabbit was fucking heinous. The monkey pays out every turn the rabbit if you buy food, an absolute throw.
Anyone else notice at 22:44 when his horse lost its extra attack? It had 3 attack, and after the battle it was back to 2.
That’s the one turn buff horse gives to new units, it only lasts one turn, the horse you’re talking about was given the temporary buff by the other horse
horse buffs only stay for one round. so buy horse (with horse) -> 3 attack. after the battle, it reverts back.
horses are temporary buffs

The only reason I think you lose really good runs is cause you don't ever switch up the order of the units. If your strongest unit isn't in the 1st/2nd spot youre doing something wrong

23:00 NL’s horse karma in a nutshell
It's actually gotten ridiculous to get to 10 wins, remember it's arena and only the best RNG scaling teams will make it past 6-7, anything less gets filtered out. I play free vs anyone and you can't win after that unless you get great early scaling. It's not hard to play optimally, after that it's just rng. There needs to be some balance changes now that everyone knows the routine
