NL will run a meta until it’s viable, and then when he’s sick of it and someone else uses it he’ll say “oh you haven’t heard of the new meta” and run something even more ridiculous. Top tier NL banter and I am loving it
the problem with this bird/beetle bacta is when it's the unit you are feeding, the health the bacta beetle gains isnt that much higher than the health of the feed beetle. The unit in the back/frozen needs to be literally anything else to maximize the build to maximize the food utility

NL, however, _can_ just decide to play Bacta on a whim which has been proven time and time again to be a terrible strategy with a lower winrate than pretty much anything else he does.

Freezes a dromedary for 3 rounds to get bacta’d. Finally takes it out of the shop when it has the same stats as the dromedary on his team already, gaining absolutely zero stats after having it frozen for that long 😂
Green beetle bacta makes no sense. You have to feed the beetle in your squad to bacta the beetle on the bench -- so you're already increasing its life. Shop beetle won't be getting any stronger than what you've got already.
I got so happy when he rolled those dromedaries after saying he wasn't going to bacta. I love the bacta and I think it is the most entertaining stategy in the game (I also like some hedgehog and some dolphin/skunk/leopard). Not finished the video but so far it's a ten out of ten. The bird beetle combo is supposed to have the bird at the back and in the bacta with the beetle being fed. You feed the beetle apples untill round 7 or so. If you feed once or twice a round, you should have a 10/11 beetle and an 18/18 bird assuming both get level 2 before round 5. It's... not that good and relies on perfect conditions to work.
Hey NL you might want to try this new SAP strategy. So, basically you keep an animal frozen in the shop and then use animals like dromedaries and green beetles paired with canned food to increase their stats before they even come on the field. It just seems like a perfect strategy really.

Bacta works if you get a level two beetle in by the start of round 3. You have to dump it right away of you're only boosting plus 1. Also, rabbit is huge if you use a beetle. Idk who said to bacta another beetle, but that minimizes your bacta potential.
Bacta with bird at the back would be better than bird buffing beetle, because then the beetle gets buffed as you give it food, and the bluebird gets buffed with attack by itself and hp by the beetle so you can buff 2 animals at once
You shouldn't bacta a bettle, bacta another thing, because you're already feeding the bettle so when you buy it, it's health will be basically the same
Putting the trex in front would be best, it's a glass cannon. Hits hard, but low HP. Putting a steak on him and he starts taking out whole units with one hit, usually a big unit. That means the units left are more likely to die in a hog run, or at least lose critical HP. If I'm not running a monkey I keep my glass cannon in the front with a steak. Croc is another good example, and leopard.
When he complained about an early scorpion, I just remembered when I got a dragon on round 7, by leveling up a pet, then buying the eagle that showed up and pilling it. Easy 10 wins haha
IMO for the BBB(beetle bird bacta) you want to use another unit frozen - since you'll mostly be feeding apples to the beetle it will be gaining +1 health from that anyway which will be effectively wasted post merge - does cost an extra slot on your team but worth it IMO.
I once got DESTROYED by hedgehog + microbe! They followed the hedgehog with three summon-units, removing the microbe weak. I've tried it, I topped out at 7 wins, and it was amazing 🤩
pay to win balance is so much worse than free to play. Why is no one talking about this? Literally 1 viable build, a few zany luck-based runs every once in a while, and like half of the animals are utterly useless
Bacta beetle doesn't work unless your beetle is level 2. Why feed a 1/1 food to your beetle to give the bacta beetle 0/1?. That's not even considering pears, which you need a level 3 beetle to feed to for any benefit. Although feeding it food That's only a temporary buff kind of works, but at that stage you'd rather go crab anyways. Bacta is funny, but impractical.
Scaling the bird instead of the beetle would mean you’ve got a beefy beetle from food and a beefy bird in the back/store, keep on coping for the beetle build 😎

Idk about this green beetle bacta, it really doesn’t do much until you get it level 2, it’s almost always gonna keep the exact same HP when you use an apple and you only really wanna use equipment once, not just over riding it
