Didn't expect so much authenticity in little chokha from a Punjabi guy. Traditional style of litte making on upla, garlic inside 🍆 while baking, use of musturd oil in chocka. I can say 99% authentic litti chokha(deducted 1% because of the way sir prepared litti on upla, but that's ok, can understand preparing in complete traditional style is not so easy in today's city life). Hat's off to you sir.

When I was enjoying this everyday my friends had my tiffin...those were the good old days.. i have never thought that a cooking video can left me teary eyes, but this video did. Sir ranveer have taken a most authentic recipe from the roots of bihar and shown it to the millions of indians. Till some years ago , this food was stereotyped as the meal of poor class people in most of the other part of the country , but is now part of the live counter of the most of the indian wedding functions in north india. I'm a Bihari and I must say out of all the recipes of litti chokha I've seen on internet this is exactly what is cooked in my home or to say in a traditional Bihari home. Garlic in the 🍆 that's what I was really hoping and it was there. Really chef You represent India in a wholesome manner.
In Bihar we call this litti chokha and in some part of UP like vanaras it is popular as baati chokha so basically only name of this dish changes through region but love and taste remain same.

I don't like mustard oil in cooking but when I first tried litti chokha, I absolutely loved the taste. Mustard oil actually enhance the taste. We tried to make it at home too that too in appe pan(Mom's idea), it was so easy and perfectly made..also we had 12 in one batch. Blessings and Love from Planet Ayurveda

Litti chokha eastern UP me bhi bahut famous hai. Ranveer has used exactly the same method to prepare litti chokha which I saw during my childhood. Sumptuous is the word for it :)
