The Hackrf was my first "Toy"....now iam playing with my Flipper, M5Stack (Core Fire,S2, Sticks, Cardputer), Pwnagotchis, Pineapples....Your videos helped me a lot to understand all this Stuff....

Trust me and buy a Royvon Aurora A8 flashlight. It is in the 40-50$ range but it’s much more than just a EDC flashlight.

I got a question about medicat-usb. How is it in comparison to partedmagic? Is it like the same in a different color or fits it different use cases?

For recommendations to an EDC... Tincan with cables and adapters covered inside with electric tape or some foam to help with rattle.
Also if you have some little foam you can cut out small brackets to store micro SD's.

LOL, Like 20 minutes ago, I got my Covert Instruments Echelon pick set to replace my cheap amazon one. I had the same one as you, and I would recommend Covert Instruments. I did a lot of research before deciding on a new pick set.
KunHe K2 and the RovyVon A1 Gen 4 are my two tiny carry lights, worth checking them out!
Covert instruments has nice picks, i just got the Ergo Combs that has the locks it works with printed on them.

@@sternonisoil I always here that Sparrows don't hold up very well. They branding looks GREAT though. They are definitely the prettiest lockpick maker out there. I use Petersons, for there GSP steel, and like Covert Instruments(This company is owned my LockPickingLawyer), alot.

A great pocket flashlight for around $30 is the Wurkkos FC11. It’s usb-c rechargeable, you can adjust the brightness, and it’s not too big. I carry one every day.
From a go-bag perspective, I would have my ham radio and one or two Meshtasic nodes with me for off-grid comms.
Card decks are always on the go fun! I like to edc the bicycle dark mode with the luck labs case

For lockpicks u can build a kit u can buy picks as single picks some sites do that and not have to do a kite route
I don't know how else to get to u but I need to know who I could ship my flipper to so they could install the mods as far as what u did and getting the transparent case different colors for screen,fonts,wrapped,etc.

I carry a lockpick set with me everywhere i go! I have a Ridge wallet and i bought a small tray for inside of it off etsy(it way nicer that ridges, and it was less that $10). In that i have a Serepick(~20) set that i picked up from ITS Tactical in titanium. This thing has gotten me and my friends out of several jams! Its 2 pieces and they both lay completely flat. Also know you you end up 3D printing some sick case for these if you pick them up. Let me know when you do ;)
Also it looks like you have a Southord pick set. That what i started with also. First thing you can do just to make those a bit more comfortable is make some shrink-wrap handles. But my biggest suggestion is getting the Peterson Ghost - GSP set($84). GSP is govt steel, which is just a more durable steel, that with make you picks live a little longer. When i did this upgrade from my SO set it was a game changer!! It instantly upgrades your speed! or at least that how it seemed to me.
Another really slick set its the Covert Instruments Echelon set($70). This set released this year so it wasn't available when i bought my Peterson's, if it had been, there a good chance I might have chose it instead! I still intend on purchasing it... Also whichever set you choose, and the reason i suggest these 2 sets, they give you everything you need.Both set are very complete. I have since added a bunch of random picks to my setup, but they were all things i wanted not things i needed.
Also as tempting as it might be, stay away from Sparrow Lock Picks, from what i'm to understand from all my research, as attractive as they look they're not exactly know for holding up very well.
Also it you build a small edc kit, 5-6 picks and a handful of turners, i HIGHLY suggest the Covert Instruments Tradecraft cases! They go for about $12, and they don't hold much, but i would say they hold just enough. but instead of velcro. They use magnets for everything! So no only is it silent, but you can stick it to door frames, or cabinets, whatever you are working on.

im a locksmith, all i have ever used is the basic lock pick set since 2006. may pick up acouple longer rakes but ive never invested in bigger sets

Coast PX3 I think has been my EDC torch working a very wet brewery for the last eight years. I'm a leatherman guy personally but everyone has their own comforts and opening preferences. my boss is leftly and I hate his knives

I started with the COvert instruments genisis kit and the creeper is 2x the price but 5x the durability

lmao, that multipick christina starter is bad? that's luxurious, they could have handles but you seem like exactly the kind of guy who'd make custom handles. but, when you do that make sure you make them in way that lets vibration transfer through them and into your hand to give good feedback. you could get raytokes immediately to show off on the channel, but I'd get a peterson set, probably the DCAP since you'll want them later and like study how he makes his handles? meanwhile on pick design have you seen jimylongs? sorry, I love picks lol.

Wish the great Scott would make a new version of hackrf, with better features. Kinda old and deaf. They could definitely make a better one, id buy it. Full duplex, just go all out.
Buy a knock off. You can get them for about $200 cheaper, and they are literally the exact same but without the case/branding. And your going to toss that stuff anyway when you add a portpack!
@@pratorian I was just going to get that new lime sdr mini 2.0 and was comparing the knockoff version of hackrf with the name brand and there are some minor differences as far as capabilities. I'm talking about them creating a new version, updated hardware and design. Still a cool device but they could build a better model, doubt they will. Was looking to get one a few months ago but decided not to.
@@Animalis_Mundana See i really like the idea behind the Limesdr mini 2, but it only gets 10 mhz upto 3.5ghz, thats only half the capability of the HackRF. HRF goes up 6Ghz, and people have even gotten it as high as 12GHZ(though i personally have zero idea how).
@@pratorian true, plus no portapack, but I hear hackrf is pretty chippy in the higher range, now too sure really. Heard plenty of good and bad about both, pros and cons. I'd really like a hack rf device, there's another one too but it's like over 1200, forget the exact name and models ATM. Think it's bladerf or something. Don't know too much about SDRs at the moment, just what I read from many reviews. But the hackrf looks dope just think after over a decade they could really come up with something better these days.
@@Animalis_Mundana I’m vaguely familiar with the blade RF. I would buy it strictly based on the price tag. And I’m positive that the LimeSDR has its great things. But I just can’t imagine the community behind it being bigger/better than the hack RF community. As for the higher up range, it should handle 5.8ghz just fine. And I don’t know why you would need anything higher than 6, It’s just nice to know it’s possible. Honestly that part of the feature set I would probably never ever. I don’t even know anything that runs on frequencies that high.

You are missing a important EDC, a CCW/Firearm. Everyone should EDC and carry. I myself carry a Glock 48 MOS w/shield arms mags and a Apex duty trigger swap.
This is a must have, not a wish list thing.
Part of why I mentioned this would only be PART of my EDC. TH-cam ad suitability doesn't really love guns lol

That very much depends on where he lives. And if has comfortable/capable of handling a weapon. If he's never shot a gun before, or if he's not comfortable handling one, especially in tense situations, this could be some better left at home or not carried. That said i carry a Glock 27, with hollow points, and a spare mag with the same load.
