They are not the same, look at the details
Reasons literally no device ever will 'kill' or 'replace' the flipper:
1. The flipper is a Digivice. Literally. I could stop the list here.
2. You can hack Gameboys with it
3. Anything it can't currently do: an addon board and software will let it do; one day the flipper will even be a web browser, I promise you that.
4. The form factor is unbeatable. Not even a man's own shaft fits the hand as comfortably as the flipper does.
5. The flipper engineers are quite literally the best in the business. We were more than happy with the base model: what we got from the Kickstarter was above and beyond anyone's dreams.
6. The community is a force of nature. I can leave it at that.
The concept of this device is very much that of a Odroid Go 1st Gen and a Flipper Zero.The Odroid go had a custom ESP32 as well..sad that it never got the attention it deserved ..a really cool device and as well usable as a 8-16Bit game handheld.
The fact that looks like an handheld for gaming (everyone uses this nowadays), this will be good for not getting much attention (unlike with flipper zero)

Wouldn't see myself using this instead of a flipper, but it's also a very cool machine. Im sure you'll get one if it releases and make a video lol so I'll just wait for that.

i remember seeing the cyperpro a while ago and they called it "cyber"pro but then changed it to "cyper"pro, anyways it wasn't that good but now they definitely did update it but im still going to stay with my og flipper. i kind of like how they did make it into a gameboy sorta form so people could think it was a game console but yeah i probably would not buy it "just" yet@@TalkingSasquach

Smells like a big fat scam with all the dead links, GKD Mini exact look, the ghost crew with no real public figures, no github, storing payment cards, and all the case finish to lure more backers before delivering anything. Too many red flags

They definitely salvage those parts from a GKD mini. But it never technically says that it will store a payment card. But if you look at the reader when he’s scanning the cyper, it says ETH down at the very bottom and given the screen isn’t in Russian, or some other language I actually wonder if he’s paying with Ethereum? Because IIRC that is possible with a flipper. I know that the flipper can act as a wallet for BTC/ETH. And I know that there are card readers in different places, and other countries that do take cryptocurrencies. But it’s possible that they’re just trying to make some look like something else in order to sell more units. Which is still false advertising. but I wonder if that’s what’s happening with the payment on screen.
the difference here is that there was a defcon talk just before the kickstarter campaign and part pf the team was vetted. this one, not so much.
You should send them an email that your interested in trying out one of their prototypes on the basis that you could do a 100% honest review without any strings attached.

Can I get a replacement board for the top of the flipper? The right button is not working are there separate boards available for replacement? I'm very careful with it and I don't know why the button stopped working. Any suggestions?
So it's a portapack with a different ui? oh wait its even less powerful than that. what the hell is the point? You can do this with a 25$ m5stick.

You do know that the flipper is 100% open source too, right?
If you could afford it, you could make your own using their own designs: they give you the pcbs, case specs, all the software details at every level of operation.
No one anywhere has even heard of this garbage handheld Linux box you speak of.
It looks like they're just tryna promote that it does illegal stuff in the video; Unlock vehicles, open barriers, copy credit card codes, copy RFID codes, and so on
Kickstarters like this fail a lot. Sometimes they succeed (and tbh even flipper looked like a scam for the longest time but it came good). Would I say they should be afraid if it fails or was a scam? Probably not - it's not an earth shattering amount of money and if it was people should re-evaluate their spending priorities possibly. I completely agree about the credit card thing though, while flipperzero can read the unencrypted data, it won't clone it and I doubt this thing could too. The typos on the security bit was amusing though!
Honestly, the only real selling points to me for the CyperPro over Flipper, at time of writing, are the in-built ESP32 and the larger color screen. Beyond those two points im more than happy with my Flipper, and tinkering with making GPIO boards.
They've now got a website and accepted pre-orders and everything is sold out I hope they deliver what they promise I like this better than the flipper due to its size and built-in Wi-Fi
Not impressed. Trying to ride the Flipper Freight Train. Definitely looks like a pump and dump scam. I'll CONSIDER one after thousands have been delivered.

the fact that they mislead about rolling codes etc is a big red flag. also one of the biggest appeals for me is the form factor of flipper. i have a hackrf if i want to lug around a more complete piece of hardware

@@TalkingSasquach Regardless, it only makes me more excited to see how the next Flipper Zero will look like. Whatever 'extras' we see on this nonexistent device, are very possible to become reality on a newer version of F0.

No way is the battery gonna be good on this thing it's got color and lights. Flipper zero keeps the images and screen low tech but it last for a long ass time.
Concerning the “rolling code with cars and garage doors” the new device the m1 also claims to be able to emulate/duplicate these codes however, I am skeptical as well.
I'm definitely getting one. I love my Flipper Zero, but my eyes are weak and it's hard to see the little screen.

I’m not going to lie I love a competitive market but thing is too big for me to want to edc. The flipper is the perfect size.
5:11 the rfid and nfc cloning/writing is probably the same as the flipper but it probably has the firmware of the flipper already on it in that it most likely can read his iCLASS nfcs
A major selling point of this thing is you won't look like your Admiral Cheetosfingers while you are out and about with the thing.

Sooo put a flipper and esp32 in a case together and you have this basically. Even the gui is practically the same.

I'd want to know who the owners/creators are of this and where the money is going, but the fact it is using essentially a gameboy footprint, it's already much more usable from a quality standpoint compared to the Flipper. Same with having high quality basics/capabilities out the box. The only issue I see is they need to give you an addon for a keyboard for easier data entry.

Its pretty low to straight up copy paste, and then to be lazy enough to not remove references to the Flipper. That makes me question this entire operation and its integrity.
as a retro emulator collector, that input cluster is gonna be uncomfortable. your "console" needs a bit more chin at the bottom.
The card skimming option alone lost any chance of selling it on Amazon. Same as Flipper Zero
We want smaller more portable technology not bigger or bulkier.

lol nonces is data collected from an NFC reader to calculate keys used.
Detect Reader: emulates an NFC card to collect data (nonces) used to calculate keys attempted by a reader.

@@TalkingSasquach there was a discussion in flipper's offtop chat, no one believes, they still offer limited metal enclosures, although it is already a proven fact that metal almost does not conduct nfc

I like the design, it's much more covert.
I always thought it was a bit scammy but if it's real there are a couple cool things. The main advantages here are the bigger screen and camouflage. I did some research early on and it looks like this should be capable of emulating 8 bit games. If you can run games on it that makes it easier to hide in plain site. The built in WiFi and antenna port are a bonus but Flipper can do that with an addon board.
By that logic why not just a bluetooth device controleld by your phone? Sure it's less obv than a portapack but nowhere near as powerful. How is a bigger flipper more discreet?

@@nobodynoone2500 Remote controlling the Flipper over Bluetooth is not a smooth experience. Last time I tried that it got Laggy and took forever to do anything. The IR capabilities, RFID, and NFC are also useless when the Flipper is in a pocket or a bag. The Flipper is also much more recognizable because of it's success. As pointed out already there's also the problem of the add on board if you want to do WiFi. In my experience even people that don't know what a Flipper is see it and wonder "what is that?" Most people know what a Gameboy is though and the Cyper Pro looks like one.

I also wanna know how good it is at emulation. Imaging playing old gameboy games.

a flipper copy where you can run maurader without extra hardware and something like the evilmcore i will buy it if its true and legit

do they show a working prototype anywhere at least??? eastern Europe isnt known for its upstanding subcultures... i am eastern European and i certainly arent on board yet, id have to see much more transparency w the people involved and the product obviously. show a working prototype w the case open, maybe do a live demonstration for the backers... and adding the metal shell options is super sus, thats something youd save for after the initial release surge to pump a little more longevity into the product... not right during introduction when its just going to mire down the introduction timeline... especially when no one was asking for it...

If it can write or rewrite some RFID and NFC that the flipper cannot then I am sold. but flipper looks like being limited and some other devices come up that are better for similar price range.

Good video! However, this thing is missing the 1-Wire connector/ capability. I am dubious of it's battery life, and itis way too big. The External Antenna is col however. Other than that it is a giant Flipper,... interesting and was bound to happen, it would have to offer more than what I can do with a flipper, and in a smaller for factor but with the Flippers great battery life. Until then no thanks.
The battery life on that shouldn’t be that bad. Since it’s probably just running some custom firmware slightly modified ESP 32 or something to that effect. But with a case that large you could easily fit a 4000mah battery in there which I could imagine easily getting close to 10 hours. The GKD mini has a 2500mah and claims a battery life of 6 to 7 hours. So I would assume cyper uses significantly less battery intensive hardware. I don’t feel like an additional three hours is all that far-fetched, even if they stuck with a 2500mah.

This thing s way too big. I like the flipper zero better. We need a flipper zero 2 but way smaller then the 0 and with more features and range. But currently the flipper is good maybe In 3 years come out with another one. Because the flipper zero is too good right now.
I sold my first flipper because im dumb and didnt know how to use it, now theres a huge community so i bought another one and its so much easier to learn how to use. if they dont get the community support like @totalkiller4 said i dont see it catching on as widely as the flipper.

Dude, Sasquatch, your watches can transmit the same shit as our cards for magnetic systems. I lost my wallet one time and kept using my cards with my watch and NFC forever, why would allowing this to do the same as a smart watch coincide with a ban? I wanted to do this as a hobby I got the Game boy advanced case buttons and cc1101 and a nfc chip im still going to make mine I doubt ill buy theirs but it looks cool
Yeah this looks cheap and crappy I’m just gonna stick with flipper you might have to mod The flipper for more features but I’m ok with that this just seems like one of those companies that pops up sells a couple of they’re cheap toys then goes out of business

I am however interested in the game boy factor. I never played the games on the flipper, so i only used it when I needed it. But with this maybe interesting to play games on this one to get more milage out of it.
