Thanks! Absolutely does feel good to be able to leave a train running around again. In my limited experience, this is the first major hurdle overcome but it’s also the stage at which layout build progress slows down as the “play time” increases! 😂
Just seen this video looks an incredible layout so far going to be awesome when you have finished and will be following you all the way through your journey cheers and good luck
Hi Dave, just found your channel, great video, you have SO much stock, I am very jealous! Enjoyed this and looking forward to more, I have subscribed :) All the best, Hylt
Hi dave Just found your channel loving what you have done so far looking forward to seeing the faller road system being put in and look forward to seeing the scenics bring the layout to life. I like the junctions on the main lines g8ves some good scope for running sessions. Take care and hope the family are well. Peter
I might suggest weathering the concrete sleepers to make them darker as that would be quite realistic as well as allowing them to blend in with the darker wooden sleepers on the points.
@@andrewbergman9315 it’s on the list of things to do however I need to do all of the track detailing such as cable trunking, AWS grids etc beforehand 👍
Hi Dave, really impressed with the layout and the stock is impressive as well. Particularly liked the log rake, could you tell me what wagons they are?
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. All the track is from Peco and is their Code 75 finescale range. The flexi track is grey as it is their concrete sleeper product. They do not do a comprehensive full range of points with concrete sleepers so wooden sleepered track is the only option. I may do the same as the last layout and paint the pointwork when i am confident about the trackplan. Once this is done and it has been ballasted and weathered the difference will be hopefully be negligable. 👍
@@GoodfordModelRailway Thank You for explaining, I find these layouts fascinating and appreciate the time, effort and hard work that goes into making them so real and special. I really liked your previous layout showing overhead wire gantry systems and fast trains. Wish you well, just love all of this, cheers.
Looking fantastic! You must be pleased to have trains running again 😃👍

Congratulations Dave on your build schedule. It looks great, looking forward to the next installment! Cheers, Karl
Hi Dave great plans and the track plan looks very good. Should make for some really interesting running cheers Andy

Hi Dave
Excellent video Rome wasn't built in a day so they say everything looks great keep up the excellent work 💯💯💯 cheers Paul
Really enjoyed that, its great to see the layout coming in and most importantly, running! 😊
Definitely a nice milestone to have overcome. Just need to keep the build momentum up and try not get too distracted with “playing trains”, haha!
Just fantastic mate

Very impressive track work there, looking forward to see it's progression.
Definitely worth subscribing for. All the best. Ian
Good progress. Hi from NZ

nice to see a rebuilding coming along nicely, would love to know where you got the log wagons from!
Thanks! Can’t remember where I bought them but they are the Revolution Trains IWA Timber wagons 👍
Looking really good mate what are the storage draws under your layout and were can I get them please mate.
Thanks! The storage drawers were a find on B&Q and house the rolling stock. Each drawer is the perfect size for 5-6 coaches. 👍
Thank you can you send me a link please if you dont mind thanks mate
Hi Dave, really impressed with the layout and the stock is impressive as well. Particularly liked the log rake, could you tell me what wagons they are?
Thanks! The log wagons are Revolution Trains IWA timber carriers 👍
Thanks
Looking good, I am a keen watcher. Why are the Points Black and the rest of the track grey, are they from different manufacturers?

Whens the next video due? 👍🏻👍🏻
Very good question, lots of updates and changes to share, so probably later this week 👍
Looking awesome, Dave. Just a quick one have you moved rooms? Great running session 👏
Thanks for watching and commenting. I haven’t moved rooms although curious as to what makes you think I might have done? Cheers, Dave
@@GoodfordModelRailway your old layout was like in a conservatory area was it??
@@gazclass58 previous videos might well have been filmed during the daytime when I had the blinds open but this one was done in the evening 👍
Do you solder you track together
@@fraptorgt7717 some of the track is soldered to wired which connect to a DCC bus. Sections of track are connected with standard fishplates.
