Well happy for you on those two pike not so on the crayfish being their. But at least we know one of them won't be returning.. Keep up the good work I really enjoying it. Thanks..
Really enjoyed this one 🎣🐊 I know exactly what you’re up against and think the Loch in Scotland you mentioned is probably one of the ones I fish myself in which you really need your baits off the bottom all the time! 🦞 I’ve noticed myself as well that if it’s really cold and frosty they aren’t in abundance or no signs at all of them. Really liked the colour and fin markings on those pike you caught 👍😊
Thank you that is very kind. Don't know enough about the life cycle of Crayfish but they do appear to disappear once the water gets really cold as you say. 👍Tight lines mate.
I should have thought of that shouldn't I DOH! I wouldn't care but my float rig includes a run ring on the line above the up-trace so it would have only taken five minutes to convert to a paternoster....double DOH !! Thanks for reaching out mate 👍
Rather disappointing to have Crayfish to contend with. The increase in subscribers is no doubt due to the great content you're sharing of real fishing - the highs and lows. Keep at it, your efforts are much appreciated.
Good evening I enjoy your diary’s keep them coming so I have a question for you regarding your rigs are those floats you use Polaris floats and do you use braid on your rigs with Polaris floats good luck with your angling 👍
Hi Chris, the floats are Fox HD Trolling floats which work in a similar manner to Polaris floats by locking on to a tight line. I find them to be much more robust than Polaris and they work well with the braid that I use. Hope that helps, tight lines mate 👍
Dont know if anyone else has come across this but i recently went pike fishing on the river tees and got hammered by crayfish on mackerel, so i changed over too smelt left them out for a good hour and reeled in too recast, the crayfish never touched them all day?
That's handy to know Sean although I don't use Smelt that much, too expensive if you want a good sized bait. Not tried the Tees as yet but it's on my list 👍👍
Fishing and the footy highlights all in one place! Love it Bruce👍
My pleasure Lol, you're welcome 🤣
@ gets better….we are winning!!😲

Great vudeo and crays are a pain but that are not fond of eel or lamprey sections for some reason. Food for thought 😉tight lines 🤙😊
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it👍
Great diary mate, good to see someone really enjoying all types of fishing and happy with what they catch, keep them coming

Greedy bu**ers they are 😂 Thanks for reaching out mate 👍
Keep enjoying what you’re doing. Maybe try a paternoster

I wonder how Crayfish would fare as a bait, given that the soft plastic version is apparently very succesful? I've never heard of anyone trying it.
Me neither mate, legally you are supposed to kill them so sticking a hook in them probably counts 🤣 Tight lines 👍

You should maybe get a licence and throw a few pots in while you fish - bet you'd come away with plenty after a day on the river.
Not for me mate, I'll stick with the Pike 🤣
